To the Ends of the Earth Would You Follow Me?

So today is my wedding anniversary, and when this song started playing on my rdio account, it inspired me, and moved me, because.. that's what love is all about? Despite the hardships of life, and the difficulties, forgive, move on, and follow your partner to the ends of the earth. My husband and I have been married for two years, and though recently he did break my heart, and doubts still flood my mind, I have no hesitation when I say that to the ends of the world I would follow him. No one knows me like he does. He has made me grow, and inspires me to try to fix myself day at a time. It's because of him that I have been able to deal with the pain that losing my daughter caused, and it's because of him that I still live. So today, I ask you, my dear readers. Whom would you follow to the end of the earth?

Love is in the air, and I do love me some of the things that Acid Lily brings forth. I have to admit, as time passes, the quality of the designers is beginning to up. That's one of the things that I enjoy about events such as this, new designers come, and you get to see some new talent, and discover it before it reaches the big leagues and the big names of Second Life. One of the newest additions, which I have to say I have nothing but love thus far, and will be keeping an eye out for the future, is Cake. I love cake, so.. with the name alone it got me. This top is so basic, but adorable at the same time, and they also have this cute dress that I hope I do get time to blog, and honestly.. though it's simple, and looks like it's not much, I'm simply in love with their style.

I paired it off with a jacket by Wunderland, and their jeans, I do believe that a huge thing about making a simple piece speak, and add character to it, is layering! So this jacket added just what it needed, and to give it a simple out and about look I added one of their new releases, some simple gray jeans to it. And I am also wearing it with flat boots. I honestly just wanted a causal  and lovely feel to it to add to the simplicity and beauty to today's love theme.

Sick to Death

That's exactly how I feel, maybe not psychotic and neurotic, but.. sick and all by myself. Yup. Then again, it's my fault. I decided to go to get cigarettes while sick, and it totally just rained on me.. hardcore. To the point that by when I got to the gas station, I was completely soaked. But.. it was closer than going back home.. so.. urgh. Stupid decision Sash. Now you're so sick you can't even smoke. Ha! I guess joke's on me.

So, since I'm feeling so sick, today is a total day of comfort. PJ pants, warm tea, humidifier, and fuzzy slippers. It's even so in Second Life. No high fashion today, just warm tea, and comfy sweaters while staying home. This big huge sweater by NiNight Creations completely fit the bill on what I was looking for, and it has a cute little pattern on the bottom too. I was lazy and just paired it with some old run down tights to give it the night before kind of feel to it, by Deetalez, and I'm also wearing the new hair from Collabor88 by Clawtooth.. Now, be warned, it's worked up a little to give it more of a sick stay at home look in photoshop, the original is no where near this messy. Just a slight sacrifice for the sake of art. And I did find this cute 1L cold/flu tattoo layer to add to my skin, it reddens the nose, and also adds little teary eyes to your skin. And it's 1L in the marketplace! I had to get it to complete this look.

Just because you're sick and wanting to dress down.. doesn't mean by any means that you have to actually look bad, now does it?

I Got Rythm

And if you're going to be a flapper, you need rythm! And a good tune to go along with it! And an amazing outfit to leave everyone's mouth wide open. And class. And Collabor88.

Can you guys tell I'm just /slightly/ obsessed with collabor88? I seriously do jump up and down the whole month waiting for this day, and rush in midnight the day of. No exceptions. Has been so for almost six months, and that's not changing any time soon! But I mean.. All of my favorite stores.. or most.. together in one place.. and with very very very low prices? Come on! Of course I'll be all over that like white on rice!

So.. we got a couple down in the last post, and here are a couple more. I do love The Sea Hole, and I really should feature them more in my blog, I own almost everything made by them.. so... why? Don't ask me, mainly because my inventory is a mess no matter how many times I try to fix it, and I just pick things out at random. No, seriously, I do! I type out a color, and with the first thing I try on, I make an outfit around that... That's how bad my inventory is. But don't fret! I totally fell in love with this little dress and head band up for grabs at Collabor88. The dress is mesh, which is always a plus, and seriously.. to me.. it didn't only have that big party feel to it. I wanted to go back to the 1920's and get my flapping on. And I did!

I kind of paired the outfit with shoes that had kind of the same feel to them. These are from Deco, I grabbed them at a Lazy Sunday or 50 Linden Friday.. one of the two. Eitherway, they're still for sale in the store, and they fit perfectly with this dress, no matter what hue you get. I kinda have teal fever lately, so that worked great for me. And it also kind of matched my fan from Volstead, that with the peacock feathers.. it totally fit the style I was going for. Got some stockings from LOW as well in the marketplace, and finished it off with a feather boa, because every flapper needs one, and the Princess Jewelry set by Donna Flora.

Also in Collabor88 is this great little set for photographers, kind of a balloon mess with many different couples and single's poses. I totally love the effects you can get with your shadows by using it. Completely amazing.

And finally, I just want to give a huge thank you to Sachi Vixen, who after reading my small little note about the eyebrows, she actually got me a darker shade of eyebrows, so now I don't have to take this awesome skin off when I want to go blonde, and I look totally fabulous with my dimples and freckles and this awesome skin. It comes as a lesson guys, that sometimes.. me included, we feel that designers are almost like.. the SL equivalent of Gods. Our own personal Anna Wintours. But they're not! Most of them are as silly and fun and easy going as we are! If you ask /nicely/ for something, or point down a small defect/flaw in one of their designs in a /kind/ manner, chances are that they'll thank you for it, and help you out, or fix it! Never be afraid to ask! Remember, designers are people too. Just with awesome tastes and talents.

It's a Bittersweet Symphony

And I'm not a slave to the money only.. I'm a slave to fashion. And Second Life. Urgh. At least it'll make for an interesting life while I have it? This song kept ringing in my mind while I did this picture, it's so sweet, and soft, and true to an extent.. And well, you all know I have that soft weakness for melancholic songs. Ah.. The Verve.. this song always sways me...

Much like Collabor88. I literally stayed awake until 2am my time just so I could go to Collabor88 as soon as they opened. And they were a whole minute late! I was watching you all! But.. alas, minute late and all they opened, and the collection this month left me drooling! Tres Blah came up with something new, which made me grin like a little girl, because Tres Blah has been one of my favorite stores since.. well.. forever! And new hair by Clawtooth.. in mesh! And D!va was there too, in short, you seriously have to go to check it out.

I'm also using again that new skin by Adam and Eve, it's a really really old store, and I haven't been in so long, and even though the blonde eyebrows don't set well with me, I'm just.. in total love with this new skin of theirs. Dimples! That's something skins should have more of.. I know, I sound like a total dork falling in love with dimples, but for me.. that's just one of the cute things.. you know? Dimples and freckles, and the fact that this skin has a dimple tattoo layer.. I melted when I saw that.

It's a Beautiful Day

Even though I'm sick, and have been sleeping pretty much the whole day due to the vast amount of drugs that I've been pumping into my system, I can't help but to repeat this song in my head as I finally seem to have woken up. It's a beautiful day. And in all honesty, why not? I think it's about time that I start being thankful for yet another beautiful day that I get to live, and not complaining about my current health. It's a beautiful day. Besides. Collabor88 opens in a couple hours, right? That alone is reason to celebrate.

But what better way to celebrate this revelation that with a new skin? Adam and Eve have this gorgeous little number now available in stores. I have to say, those dimple tattoo layers seriously got me, and the freckles? To die for. The level of detail in the new Siobah skin is really superb. I only have one complain, and one alone, the fact that the blonde eyebrows are soooo light. Since I'm a dark blonde, they really didn't go well along with my usual hair style, however.. for this skin, I'd go brunette in a heart beat, and that's exactly what I did. The Siobah skin comes in five different shades, from pale to very tanned, I'm actually wearing right now the T3 skin, which is right in the middle of the arrays, and it also comes in six different make up styles. Single skin for 949L and the skin fat pack of that shade for 2,900L. Definitely worth every penny for this level of detailing.

In other news, American Bazaar is participating in the New Year, New Style hunt, where they actually a gift for both men and women, right now I'm wearing the women gift (duh), and it's quite adorable. It's a cute little red dress with a brown belt around it. It might be a little too shiny in the texture for some, but for me, it was quite alright, I rather liked the styling of it. I paried it off with brown myself, though it looks good with black too, just to play off the belt that adorns the dress a little more. Since in my opinion, there was a little lack of patterns there, I added the Chantkare Khrysler tights in brown, and finished it off with boots by Maitreya. For accessories, I added the new Anuuka beads and Ethiopian cross set by Maxi Gossamer, which is currently available at fameshed.

Such a Lonely Day, and It's Mine...

It's the loneliest day of my life. I miss my hubby. He's gone to work and I'm home alone. And he now works overnight, and I'm a bit paranoid.. so.. not sleeping with him is quite hard. And some comes the melancholic feeling as I look out the window and onto the sunset. Which is exactly what inspired me to do this post.

One of my best friends got me hooked in another store, Leverocci, it has some amazing stuff! Like this little blue dress. It's one of their new releases, and I'm just absolutely in love with it. I love classic things, and for some reason, even though I hate blue in real life, I absolutely love how it comes off in my avatar. The downside is that the store is a little on the high price side, but.. oh.. it is so worth it, I almost had a shoporgasm when I saw all their products.

The only thing that is bad.. or maybe good if you're into accessorizing, is that you really need to add a piece to make it pop, so I reused my pretty little LaGyo necklace to add some sort of a statement piece. I also have a purse to give some sort of story to the photo, and the lamb! hair, In Heaven, to add some sort of movement effect. I really am proud of the way that this picture turned out, and how the outfit looks. Complete love.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Sunday mornings are a time to sit back, relax and take it easy. Lazy around, let your hair down, or up.. it's all about total relaxation.... unless you're a complete shopaholic like myself just jumping up and down and awaiting for Collabor88 to open. Open damn it! OPEN!

So.. while I compose myself.. there's another event that many look forward to, and that is Acid Lily, here's one of the dresses, and boots, from Moyaz that will be available this round. To be honest, I do adore the boots, absolutely love them, but the dress.. I don't know, it just seems.. overdone maybe. A lot of the designers in sl use this template, and I've seen it so much I'm literally getting tired of it. However, on the other hand, the texture that they used on the bodice of the dress is very original, and I loved how it matched almost perfectly with the boots. Total love on that end.

I paired it off with a new release from Blueberry as well, the sweater is amazing, and the cute little bow.. on the back.. well, you all should know by now, I do have a total weakness for bows in my wardrobe, there's something just so cute and girly and effortless about it that it wins me over. I also added the torn leggings to add some personality to the outfit, and to transition from the well dressed top to the kind of rougher looking boots, and added a statement piece by Maxi Gossamer, which is currently available at fameshed.

The hair. Guys, 75L for a color pack. Today only, on Lazy Sunday. I'll be honest, first time I heard of AUSHKA&CO, and I almost didn't go, but one look around, and I was so glad I did! I'm always in the look out for new hairs, and hair stores, and keeping up with the latest in second life, and I'm soooo glad that AUSHKA&CO was added to the round up. So, make sure to take a quick peek and grab that hairstyle today!
