Hair Fair Faves Part I

Hair fair was a huuuuuge event, and I have lots and lots of favorites from different stores. I tried to do just one big post about it.. but.. I couldn't do it justice, so.. I'm going to start showing off some of the looks that I loved!

Welp. So if you've been wondering where I've gone to, I've actually been working on these. They're soooo amazing. I mean, I keep hearing that a lot of people are disappointed with Hair Fair, but I think it's because they didn't dare and try to go to places that they hadn't been to before. There's so many new designers that I was just.. mindblown. I mean, for example, Elisa by .Olive. Olive is just starting to make hair, and it's quite amazing really, but because it isn't one of the big hair names, it probably gets skipped. No, look at the amazingness of this hair style, and just.. aww at it, because.. that's got to be one of my favorite hair styles in SL. And Redmint. I mean, I had never heard of the brand in sl before, sorry, but.. when I saw this hair I was completely blown away. Granted, I probably will never wear it except for ablog post, but it's so original that I just had to have it. Then we have Lamb. I am a huuuuge fan of Lamb Baillic. Her work always leaves me wanting more, and well, she didn't disappoint me in hair fair, by far some of my favorite looks in Hair fair. Then.. OhMai started doing hair. I mean, what can't this woman do? This cute look that's so soft and whimsical left me speechless. I completely love. Esk-imo, I've seen around in Hair Fair before, but I never really purchased from them, but this bad girl hair is totally adorable! And Wasabi Pills, I mean.. what's not to love about a big puffy hair?

My point is, when you go to hair fair, don't go for the big names, Exile, Lelutka, and those.. go for the whole fair, take a full day and try everything on! I mean, there's so many new places that ventured into hair, that are sooo worth taking a look at guys, so go with an open mind, and remember, portions of your sale go to helping Wigs for Kids, so.. it's a huuuge help you guys are doing it, and I mean, the fact that we all keep going to this fair year after year, it also opens up a huge oportunity in the years to come for this event to be able to keep going. So, with that said, go and explore, have fun! And I'll be posting more about Hair Fair for you guys to oogle at, and drool. Yes. Drool at my amazing hair collection that I spent a small fortune on. Bwahahaa.

Disneybound: Dumbo!

So I've always loved Disneybound, but with everything going on, I've kind of put it in the back burner, I hate to say it, but.. no more! I did a disneybound you guys! I decided to do Dumbo this week, because.. he's so adorable, and who doesn't love a flying elephant, like.. it's the most adorable thing ever! It was kind of easy, to be honest, I mean, color scheme is gray, red and yellow, mostly gray. Maybe I took it too literal, but.. oh well, I still love the outfit, thought it was something maybe different from teh direction that a lot of people went. I did use the elephant necklace though to just tie the whole theme of Dumbo into it, and I used Kuzco's bow, from Noodle's last arcade round, to finish off the scheme. It's a cheat, I know, but it worked really well, even if it was meant for another character! Anyways, on to the credits! After not sleeping for two days, it feels a little odd to like.. finally write or something, I still need coffee!

I've Got This Friend

I've got this friend that every Monday morning makes memes! And I love doing it, mainly because my readers get a really good feel of who I am. This week it's all about questions, and well, I thought I'd try my best to answer them honestly, without offending anyone. There's so much drama around, sadly, and I suppose it's just a big part of SL, no matter where you go, but.. I want to have, no drama. I've got enough of that in RL. So.. on to it? I hope you guys actually enjoy reading these, I don't... know? But I think it's a good way for you to get to know the person the behind the pretty pictures.

How do you deal with criticism? In the past I wasn't the best with this, I'll admit. I got very easily offended, and got my feelings hurt. I mean, a big part of my change lately might be the medication I'm on that just makes me not give a crap, or maybe I've been through so much that I honestly don't care, but.. I handle it really well, I can separate it, and take it to fix and work on myself, if that makes sense? Like.. I don't take offense. And if you mean offense.. Honey, I don't care, but, I think this has actually helped me out a lot in my time in Second Life now, and allowed my blog and SL adventures to become more enjoyable. 

What’s the most infuriating thing other SL residents do? The constant attacking some people do. Specially on Plurk. Come on, it's getting old, really. I would understand if we were still in High School, but we're not. Most of you are actually in your thirties, I'm in my twenties, I mean.. come on. We should have moved past this years ago. 

Which SL resident would you most like to have lunch with and why? Easy, Strawberry Singh. I know, lame answer is lame! But she's a huuuuge part of why I became a blogger. For years I followed her blog and her growth, and I was too shy to do anything, but then I finally decided to start to learn photoshop, and follow her tutorials, and I started this, which has now overtaken my SL life and changed it. In a way, Berry made me guys. And she can destroy me. Kidding aside, she's been a huge inspiration to me, and I'd be honor to even spend a day around her. I'd probably start squealing if I did RL and my husband would look at me like I'm a loser. It's ok though, I am. 

Who would you say is your “anti” role model? Someone who serves as a warning rather than an inspiration? There's a few people. I'm not even going to say names, I don't want to get into it. But I've voiced myself against them, they know who they are. I don't backstab, I speak truthfully, I am not double faced, and I won't attack people for no reason. People that do that are my anti role models. 

What was something you used to enjoy, but was ruined for you? Hm, I guess Roleplay. I used to enjoy rp'ing a lot, but there is so much competition with slutty girls that just want sex, that it just became an annoyance more than anything. I don't need to compete and try to count down how many more "sexings" I've had than you. It's sad. Trying to get attention through sex speaks very low. I'm sorry. I'm not going to compete in things like that, before I do, I'll leave. 

What’s something you want to do that you’d be embarrassed to tell other people about? I.. honestly can't think of anything? I'd want to try being a kid av and getting adopted, but.. I see sometimes the secrets.. in the rare occassions that I do read them, and just.. I get heart broken that that's how some people treat their family. I believe in Ohana. Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind :D. 

What’s the oddest term of endearment you’ve ever used or that someone’s used for you? I call my RL husband Hunny Bunny! And I call my best friend in SL Cliopants. 

Have you ever fallen in love with another SL resident? Yes

Describe a time/event in your slife that you’re nostalgic for. Rp'ing in my first Harry Potter sim. It was sooooo much fun. 

What’s something sweet you’d like someone to do for you? Just a kind word will do. Stars in my flickr page also make me teary eye. Getting runner up on Hair Fair made me cry too. I don't know. I guess feeling like there's a sense of achievement does it for me. 

So.. for today, with all that typing.. and all that reading, keeping it short. One of my favorite stores in SL is Ison. I love Harry Hax so much, have since 5ever. And now he's making hair, so of course I squealed when i saw it, and I am wearing it forever. I also loved his little dress for Collab! So.. that's about it, I hope you guys like!

So... another week in the hospital, this is getting really old, but I'm finally back. Well, been back since yesterday, just took me a little because I really really wanted to do something good for this post! And I'm actually pretty happy. A lot of things have been happening. For one, HAIR FAIR. I love hair fair, and I was lucky enough to have one of my works selected to be displayed guys! And even though I didn't get to use my early pass for either hair fair bloggers, or my early pass for winning runner up, I am still so happy and humbled to be selected for both, so thanks to the Hair fair theme. And I still managed to shop.. over 20K worth in hair, trust, I'm a shopaholic when it comes to hair, but.. it's worth it guys, a percentage of your sales goes to Wigs for Kids, which also helps other kids with cancer .. well, have wigs! So I love this organization, and I have no problem on dropping a lot of cash to support! Make sure to go and check out Hair Fair this year. It's built in LEGOS. And it's amazing, they outdid themselves. Shame Truth wasn't there, and I don't even wanna know the story, so gossip starters, don't even! I also checked out collab, and that's where the rest of my linden went. Wops. But.. well, Aime actually gave me these cute little fairies, they're so adorable, and they make me cry every time I detach them.. because Aime is a very evil bunny filled with cuteness. I just can't. I wanted to do a follow through the forest kind of theme, reminds me a little of Sleeping Beauty.. following the glowing light to her doom! Except.. they're good fairies... I hope! So I also went to Maitreya and got the jeans.. because.. Maitreya has a sale, and they have the best jeans in grid, so I had to fat pack! All in all, a lot of shopping.

Oh.. yeah.. this skin? The newness of essences. It's so soft and adorable, Cho is a must if you are going for more of a youthful/soft look, or Asian. I went for youthful. And also, a plurker friend sent me these a long time ago, but.. I've been bad! So much going on, but.. doctor who nails. I'm a huuuuge fan of Doctor Who, so.. .yeah, I'm rocking these pretty often. Sooner or Later

Okay, so today.. There's no rambling. I think. I don't know. When I blog I just type whatever comes to my mind and hope people can make sense of it. I don't literally have a plan, I don't know, I guess I want you guys to know me for whom I am, not because I'm trying to just say "LOOK! PRETTY STUFF TO GO BROKE ON!" Which.. I mean.. come on.. the hair and the outfit.. totally deserves to be bought, but.. still, I guess to me blogging is more than that, I try to bring a bit of myself into every post and hope that you guys enjoy the quirky mess that is me. Well, sometimes is emo, but whatever. I'm over the emo, time for fuuuuun! So.. I went today to Fameshed, because.. I was a bad blogger and hadn't gone. And I drooled over the new hair. I was sad truth hasn't put their stuff out, or Lame Furniture, since I'm a huge fan of theirs, but.. whatevers. Replaced by Wasabi pills. I'm lately all about the poof like that, with the headband holding it back. maybe because I'm a dork and I love all things headbands *HINT HINT TO ANY DESIGNER OUT THERE! MORE PLS! TY!* So.. yeah.. Of course I grabbed the pack in a heart beat. Then I walked around.. and fell in love with Cracked Mirrors release, and I had to buy it as well. I mean.. it's sooo cute D: I also had to blog it because I feel like.. I don't know, this represents my style really well, very comfortable and casual, but pretty, and I wish more designers would do things like this, because.. well, I do bring a huge part of myself and personality into SL, so to me it's important to look a bit like myself, or keep an essences of myself in my avatar. So props to Cracked Mirror for this, honestly, very well done, my only complain is that the pink is a little dark, and I wish there were more combinations of the colors. LIKE TEAL. But then again, like.. I'm obsessed with that color. TEAL AND BLACK! Honestly, I'd just throw linden for that, a teal over the top tank, layered over a black one. So happy. And then one with a white one on the bottom. Can this be done? Please? Well, I rambled waaayyyy longer than I wanted to, so I'm just going to jump to credits. Enjoy guys! Somewhere Only We Know

Okay! So... I'm really excited, recently a lot of things have been happening to the blog. Way more hits, and I've got two major stores that took me in as a blogger now, and I couldn't be more thrilled! Essences, and Trompe Loeil. These are two of my all time favorite stores, so it's a pretty huge big deal for me, and an honor, and I've actually gotten to talk to both Inka and Cory, and they're both so sweet! I love that, like when you meet a designer, and they're actually.. not cocky and all weird, but down to earth and really fun to talk to. So.. yeah, tears have been shed a little, specially when I got my invite for Covert Affairs, and.. Umm... big stuff! I never in a million years thought that blogging would be such a big part of my sl life and my life, but it turns out that my passion for pictures, trying to network and get out of my shell, and trying to grow as a person has worked, and I am ever so thrilled. I mean, I've changed a lot from the time I started blogging. It's pretty funny, this person, his name is James, James and I were close friends way back in the day when I started blogging. Then drama, and angry blow ups, but when we started talking again, like.. literally yesterday over one of my you tried stars, I just.. let everything go, I mean, I have changed, why can't others? So even when the cautionary tales came, I was like.. woah, chill, 1. I'm not marrying the dude, 2. what's wrong with giving someone a chance? You can't ever change if no one gives you a chance or just craps all over your parade! So.. I did it. And so far, you know what? I'm glad, I am laughing, I'm having fun, and there's no drama. Okay, yeah, with all the cautionary tales and crap I'm cautious, but I'm enthusiastic, because.. I'd rather have a friend, than an awkward enemy. So that's why I decided to do Berry's challenge on him, and then doing a couple others, maybe, we'll see! I for sure want to introduce you all to Clio Clary, who's like.. my best friend ever in SL. So yes! Here we go guys!

James Weaver (legion.afterthought): I started off in the club scene where I performed as a DJ which later evolved into me owning a couple clubs of my own. After that, I joined up with the gaming community of second life which engaged in various activities - but consisting mostly of just shooting things. That got boring after a while though, and I made my final stop right in the popular roleplay community known as the Crack Den

I started out immature: rude, a huge troll, and so many other names I could use to explain my former self. Thanks to my experience here,:I've finally learned how to move past that and act proper in social situations. That is more than likely the biggest of lessons I got while in SL!

James Weaver (legion.afterthought): That's hard to say since all my friends I had way back are still in SL to this day..except one person, now that I think about it! When I was part of that gaming/shooting community mentioned above, there was one group I remained consistently dedicated to until it's fall when their leader was falsely banned from SL entirely. He was by fat the best leader I've ever come across in SL. Creative, intelligent, and when the other leaders insisted on involving politics and drama into their groups, LEO Damone (the aforementioned leader) didn't give in and allowed for the group to maintain a cool atmosphere. If you take a look at my profile, you will see a group named Valkyrie Veterans - that's the group I made in nemoriam of the group that was led by LEO

The Girl Who Lived

So... if you've been reading my blog for a while, can tell a couple things about me. One, I'm a total dork. Two, I'm a Potterhead, three, I love Disney. Umm... that sounds about right. So.. today my Potterness comes out yet again,  even though the Arcade is over and done, sadly, I still couldn't help but to dust out this pose by Hopscotch again to showcase one of Essences new skins, The Girl Who Lived. Ummm... YES PLEASE! Of course I had to blog this skin, I mean.. I'm one of the biggest Harry Potter fans ever, well.. Slytherin fan despite my fear of snakes, but.. CLOSE ENOUGH. The skin actually comes with this lightning scar, and it is the cutest face ever, the nose of this skin makes me want to wear this skin forever and ever, and ever. It's a little paler than what I go for normally, but it's still just.. the most adorable thing ever. Best yet! It's a gatcha for the Chapter 4 event! And it comes with glasses and all. There's a lot more in that gatcha, but.. by far this one caught my attention, I mean.. Potter, need I say more? I tried to come up with an outfit that would be.. female Potter, I guess.. but I ended up looking more like Hermione. Oh well. There's also new stuff by Truth, which is amazing! So... yeah, I think that's about it for me people, enjoy and happy shopping!
