On Melancholy Hill

Up in melancholy hill, there's a plastic tree. Okay, you're not here to see my awesome lyric typing singing skill while I sing. But.. there was a challenge somewhere out there, I think, or maybe someone was planning to make a challenge where you were inspired by song lyrics for your post. I was! I did it! I absolutely love the Gorillaz, and this song is sooo cute and so me, So.. yeah, there you go, challenge accepted, even if it wasn't a challenge, and done! Bam. 

So.. today there's two newness on the release of new stuff. One.. Essences released their new line, Whisper. I love it. For a moment I thought that the skin was too pink, and I didn't care for it, but.. now I just absolutely love it. Look at the nose! And the eyes, and just.. so adorable, I absolutely love it. amazing job. Now, I am going to be completely honest, one of the things about Essences is that I don't like a lot of her tones, but I absolutely love the light rose, and the sunkissed. My two favorite ones, I find that she sometimes gets too close to a hue, like.. either too red, or too green, but the execution of the skin, the detale of it, and just the softness of it, I completely love. And the eyebrows. They grow on you. So.. I am wearing the sunkissed version of it, and I'm trying to change things up, still trying to figure out the new look with this skin because.. I absolutely love it. 

Lark also has a new upcoming release. This cute little bathing suit that is just.. completely adorable. The red polka dot made me think Minnie Mouse, and if you don't know by now that I'm a huge fan of three things, Doctor Who, Disney, and Harry Potter.. well.. you need to go back and do some reading! I couldn't help but to put on my Mouse ears, and go around in this cute little piece. My favorite part of this swimsuit has got to be the back. One piece on the front, two piece in the back, and I had to show that off. So.. yeah, there's your Sunday newness for today! I hope you all enjoy!

Disneybounding: Princess Aurora!

Growing up, Sleeping Beauty has always been one of my favorite movies. Though.. I'll be honest, it wasn't for Aurora, it was the pink and blue fairy, AND Maleficent. I know it sounds weird, but I've always been captivated by Maleficent's character. Younger, I was afraid of her. Like.. that scene with Aurora following the green wisp of light along the corridor.. the music, all of it, it was just.. so eerie. I used to cry in that scene every time. Literally, just.. petrified of it. But then I started to grow up, and I started admiring the work that Disney did on her, the fact that Maleficent was just.. evil. Pure evil. I mean.. you go to Disney, when you watch the Fantasmic! show in Disneyworld... they use her almost as the queen of evil.. darker and more sinister than the Evil Queen herself. Which.. let's face it, she wasn't that evil, she was just vain to the point of insanity really. But Maleficent.. just.. everything about her screamed evil. I loved it. And now with the new movie coming out.. like.. I really hope they don't ruin that. I love her as she is. 

Anyways, the challenge is Aurora. And I wanted to do the mix up of the two fairies. You probably remember how they used to battle each other to turn the dress into pink or blue.. ending up in something like this: 

So.. I mused for days on how to do this, I wanted to do a dress, and then mix it like that in photoshop.. But.. that wasn't the challenge. So.. I figured it out. I had to include both colors in it! It wasn't a choice about pink or blue.. it was merging the two of them into one look. Anyways, I grabbed the top from one of the newer stores in grid, well, making a come back really - okkbye, which I absolutely love. I don't really like bright pink, so the fact that it was soft and sweet was perfect for me, added a headband from Lark, since I didn't have the right tiara for her, and just.. used the Snow white at hand to give it a little bit more of modern edge/attitude. And finished it off with the blue theme with jeans from Maitreya! The end result was a more modern and relaxed Aurora look that looks casual enough to pull off, and well.. still eludes to all the stuff from the movie, one of my favorite parts anyways. Enjoy!

Love Donna Flora

So, if you don't know who Donna Flora is.. you've practically been living under a rock. Okay, exaggerating, sorry! But.. Donna Flora is by far one of the biggest, and oldest names in jewelry. She got some devastating news as of recently, and Second Life has come together in order to help her out. She's battling cancer now, and we all wish her the best of luck in her battle. It's always really nice to see SL come together like this though, like.. instead of all the hate, and the annoying battles that happen in SL, it's really nice to see people come together and try to help each other out. To me, that's what SL and the experience of it all is about. Not trying to bring other people down, but trying to help each other up. Not tearing down, but building. There's been a lot more tearing down lately than usual, I mean, I've even felt it, so.. nice change! I guess. But.. I decided to compile a cute look with a couple of items for the Love Donna Flora event. 

Also, the Seraphim social is up and running, and one of my favorite items in this necklace from Lark. I just love it, and the symbolism of it. So.. let me tell you a little bit about it. The Seraphim Social is an event that it's all about reading a book, and then designers make an item based on the book. It's actually a pretty cool concept that Lashae has created, and I loved it, had to get on board any way that I could. Now if only I could stop playing SL long enough to actually read.. it would be better, right!? But this month, for the opening month, the book chosen was The Host. And even though I'm not a HUGE fan of Stphanie Meyer, well.. I have to admit.. the movie wasn't half bad. Wasn't Twilight, but then again, I might not have hated Twilight half as much without freaking Stewart kid.. at any rate, I think I might actually pick up this read! This necklace represents the two souls inside of the body, and like.. any ways, it's really cool, and I love it, and I'm a sucker for things with a lot of meaning behind it, so.. yeah, love, and worth a pick up! Rumor Has It

Rumor has it that FateWear is coming out with a new line. It's going to be called FatePlay. Really, I'm extremely excited over this. I love Damien's style, so when I heard that he would be coming out with something that girls could wear, and something that was really well made.. well... I fan girled a little. I know I shouldn't but.. yeah, I did. First of all, I love his stuff, second of all, one of the things I hate about rp'ing medieval style, or anything of the sort.. there's not enough quality mesh out there! So this is huuuuuge if you're a roleplayer, and really a must have. the quality of the clothes is what you'd expect about of Damien, nothing but the best, and in all honesty, this makes me want to rp again. So that's one of the rumors floating around, that is nothing short of completely true! FatePlay Mainstore will open in the FateIsland sim, and with it, you'll be able to get some of his most popular costume- like releases for Fantasy Fair, in different colors! So.. make sure to be able to get into that as soon as it opens! You really don't want to be left behind.

Rumor also has it that Berry has done another Meme challenge. This week is all about Bucketlists. I guess this has a specially space in my heart because.. Talia Castellano has passed away from her battle with cancer. You might remember her for this little bit: 

At any rate, I was really sad to hear she passed, but she did leave behind her bucketlist. It was posted on facebook, and you can find it in that link, and the idea is.. we do her bucketlist for her. Just one, or all of the things, it doesn't matter, but I think that list really makes us realize how beautiful life is, and how to appreciate the little things in life. Pesonally, me this weekend, I'll be sending a message in a bottle, I can't wait! But.. now I have to think of an SL bucketlist. And this wasn't easy, guys, specially since in SL, you are free to do as you wish, and so many of my things have already come true.. it's hard to pick a couple.. so.. I guess I'll try, don't sue me if it turns out to just be funny, because.. I can't think of anything and I'll be probably writting it down while it comes to my mind. Don't hate too hard!

1. Remove all bling, body oil, and clicky heels from the grid. Bothing bothers me in sl more than this, seriously, I see it, and I want to stab my eyes out. Bling is not cute, no matter how you put it. It wasn't cute in 07, muchless now. Body oil makes me think you need a shower. And the clickie shoes thing.. just.. urgh, heels don't sound so loud, if I can hear from the other end of the store, I'm going to think you're King Kong in heels. No. Just no. I would love to figure out a way to murder these things out of the grid. 

2. I'm probably going to get hell for this but.. I would have fun making a script to pop huge prim boobies: Dear God. You've probably seen it, the boobs that are bigger than the whole body. I want to get a needle and pop them. I know.. I know this sounds terrible, but.. that's the only thing I can think of. It would be so much fun to like.. make a needle that would pop them. :x that's all I'm saying, I'm going to get the Tango girls after my butt for this. I sorry! 

3. Own a Harry Potter adult sim: Okay, so what i mean by this is.. there's much more to Harry Potter than Hogwarts, don't get me wrong, love me some Hogwarts, but the kiddy rp.. not always my style, sometimes I want to have some evil wicked dark witch fun. And not have to teach. A ministry sim, and everything would be awesome! with a muggle London around too so people can rp muggles too, that would be sooooo much fun! Yeah.. pervs, you thought I was going for sexy time. Psyche! 

4. Own a prefab store: I'm trying really really hard to learn how to make mesh, so I want to open up a prefab home store. It would be fun, and I think sl needs more of the selection for family homes, so yeah! that's one of the dreams I'm working to achieve. 

5. Stay away from drama: Lol, if only it could happen. SL is always going to be filled with drama. I just.. I wish I could stay away from it, and not even hear about it for a week. Too much to ask? Urgh.

So that's really all I can think of, and... we'll see if that even ever happens, but.. they're cool ideas! Maybe one day. Until then, I'll keep up with my blogging and learning how to work photoshop. Enjoy the credit guys!

Hair Fair Pt. II

I did warn that I got a lot of hair, right? I think so... well, more hair fair!

Hair Fair.. honestly one of the biggest events of the year. I get so giddy when I see it come about. And I still have more hair. Really, this is only part II and I'm not even blogging all the goodies I got, only my favorite styles that I found. I'm still irked because I keep hearing people say that it wasn't good. Like.. I suppose everyone is entitled to their opinion. Yet at the same time, I have those friends ask me where I got the hair I'm wearing. I'm just all like.. Err... well... Hair fair, it's magical. I have lost count of how many times I've sent people packing to hair fair, like.. come on guys! Walk through it! There's soooo many new names just.. It makes me sad to see that you're not taking the full advantage, and discovering! There's so much more to hair than Exile, and Wasabi Pills, and Lelutka, and Truth. 

Now, don't get me wrong. I love those stores guys, prove is here, all three releases of Lelutka are in my favorites' list, but.. I guess I just tried to go out of my comfort zone and see what else there was. Like.. Baiatice and Auxiliary being in the line up. Ummm... Excuse me! Since when? And I'm not saying this is a bad manner, far from it, they're two of my favoirte stores, so... if anything I just got really excited. And they didn't disappoint me! Far from it, I was excited to see what they came out with. I know that Auxiliary has dabbled in hair before, just never seen something like this. And the Baiatice hair, well, that's for sure worth a second look. Then you have Alice Project. A lot of the times, her hair doesn't really fit my style, and it took me forever to color my hair because I bought the Create Your Own instead of Infinity, and tried using my infinity HUD on it. Well. Woops. These two hair styles though left me drooling. Alice really outdid herself for hair fair. 

Lelutka, dear God. Lelutka can't ever do wrong in my eyes when it comes to hair, and one of them had a fades pack, I literally just threw my hands up in the hair and said good bye to my money, and bought. Loved. Eaters Coma also had a really nice release. They're not a huge name in  hair yet, but I think they should be, a lot of their releases are just so cute, I totally love. And Last but not least, Clawtooth. I'm a huge Clawtooth fan, and I've blogged a couple of the Hair Fair looks as well, So.. yup! That's rounds off Part Two of Hair Fair. Stay tuned for the second part. After I really get some sleep. All this editing is making me die. A little. Each day. Kidding, but! I've Got a Love that Keeps Me Waiting

Okay, so after the craziness with hair fair, that still is being worked on, I needed a day break, but.. I'm back people! And what I have today is something that's pretty cool. Auxiliary has always been one of my favorite stores, and now Tyr actually released these amazing sweats that... well, to be honest, if she didn't have teal, I might have defriended her and cried forever, but.. Mint is close enough. Luckily. Anywayyyys, away from the random crazy rambles, I was actually pretty astounded when I put them on. They're not my type of release normally, I like more girly styles, but they're just so well made, the folds, the way it moves with the body, it's just absolutely amazing, and this picture doesn't even begin doing it justice, they're seriously worth the money and the trying it on. I also have a new tat that a friend of mine made, and well, it's cute, so showing it off, actually two of them, can't really see the neck one too well, but it's actually a snake! Like Slytherin. I'm normally petrified of snakes, but this is cartoonish and cute enough to set me at ease and get my Slytherin spirit on. Finally we have the hair from Auxiliary, it's available in Hair Fair, and they have some pretty cool packs that let you change you and be original when you want. So.. I think that's about it, I'm feeling pretty crazy and random, so I'm going to leave it at that before I bore you all!

Not really what you were expecting, eh? It's okay, I wasn't expecting to go this direction either, but.. somehow it happened. I tried doing something cheeful and happy and very whimsical, and ended up being thrown away and replaced by this. I don't know but.. I just got the idea in my head of a little girl lost in an asylum, escaping to Wonderland. If you look at the floor you can find the Cheshire cat somewhere even. But.. yes.. this ended up being my interpretation of Alice, which is funny, really love the movie, guess sometimes the way we feel in our life manifests through here. A lost person escaping to wonderland. Sounds like me escaping to second life. Oh well.. I did come up with a cute little outfit for it that i hope you love! I don't think the necklace and bracelet are for sale anymore, they were for a limited event, but.. everything else is up for grabs. I just really couldn't help myself, I needed to have them on for this! The pose from Collab also helped give this picture the exact whimsical feel that it needed.
