A guide catering to the shopaholics of second life. You know, those of us that when we see linden up in our display.. we just have to buy it all. We are all caught up in this love affair.
And here I thought I would be safe, but the lovely, aka mean, aka, still love you, Fae Eriksen from Fishy Strawberry has sent her challenge through facebook.
So, I had to rush, because.. well, damn her. I was all comfy in bed, taking a break before the hell of building and texturing starts, and I get that. Might as well do it tonight before I forget and it goes in the back burner.
Now I get to nominate some people. BWAHAHAHA. Okay, I'm going to do two sets of nominations because one is a list of people I would love to see do it because I think they would make an awesome picture. The other is a list of people that have to do it because I'm mean. So.. here it is.
PEOPLE THAT MUST DO THE BUCKET CHALLENGE:
I challenge Sienia Trevellion, Andel Rhiadra, and Tea Soup. I WANT TO SEE PICTURES WITH BUCKETS OF ICE AND WATER, LADIES.
Now, the second set is people that I really would enjoy to see doing it, but I don't know if they would, or even if they would hear about my challenge to them. So I'm going to put here Strawberry Singh, Kaelyn Alecto and Sylvia Olivier with her lovely family.
I know it's a big list! But I'm going to be donating a large portion of my cash out when it comes in to ALS, so I guess that makes up for it. I did the picture, and the donation. So! That gives me a chance to double nominate, right? Right?! I dont' care. It's my life, I do what I want. I'm a rebel like that.
For more information about this illness, and to find out how to donate, please visit: http://www.alsa.org/

I struggled for a long time on trying to figure out a good post to make after Robin Williams passed away. I didn't want to make something that was just for doing it, or writing it, I wanted my words and picture to represent something, to be meaningful. Be warned, the post below will contain personal information, and a look into what depression feels like, and why it's important to be aware of this deadly disease, because yes, it is a disease. If you're bothered by either of these themes, this might not be the post for you.
Robin Williams' death hit me hard, I'm not going to lie, I still cry about it. A lot of people think it's ridiculous, since I didn't know him, but that's the point. We never took the time to get to know the selfless man that gave us laughs and filled our childhood with warm memories. He needed us, and we turned our backs. We didn't see the signs. We lost him too soon. This is what saddens me the most, and having been in that same boat, and having been saved, just, it's devastating. He was a legend. He was one of a kind. The world truly is a little less funny and bright, but as we've seen around, you're free. You're free from the chains of this world, from the guilt, and the hurt, free to be the you you've always desired to be, and to laugh freely like you made us laugh so many times. Rest in peace.
The thing that kills me though, is that not enough light is being shined upon how horrible depression is. He wasn't selfish. One of his last acts was sending a woman overseas a video of himself because meeting him was on her bucket list. He tried to make her laugh in his most desperate moment. If you haven't been through depression, I want you to take away all those thoughts that he was selfish, that sadness is just something you can cure. Get them out of your head right now, and clear them out. This is what depression feels like.
One day, there is something that happens, devastating, or maybe it's been going for a while, bringing lower and lower every day, or perhaps it came alone, suddenly. Regardless, it feels as if you're carrying a boulder on your back. You can't stand up, physically it hurts. Emotionally it hurts. There's a void in your heart, or inside you, it feels like ice. It hurts. It physically freezes you, and it hurts. But you have to keep going. Life goes on. This great boulder on your back, you can't take it off, you have to walk with it all day long, drag yourself step by step. People stare. You know they're talking about you. Not only are they talking about you, it feels like they're adding weight to this great boulder you have to carry. But you can't stop. No. If you stop, then they'll pile more on top of you. You have to run. You have to get away. And finally you do. For a moment you're free. You cry, you let it out. But the weight is still there. You talk to someone you trust, but the weight is still there, even if they have taken a couple of pebbles away from you.
The day is over. Now is time to head home. Your loved ones are there. They stare at you. It huts. You're hurting them. You know they can see the boulder you're carrying, and they want to take it away from you. They want to carry it for you, but they can't get it off, they say only you can. But you've tried. Desperation sets in. You can't do anything. You're helpless to this great weight that you carry behind you. You can see this boulder growing, and it's going to crush your family too. No. It can't. It's your burden to carry. So you lock yourself up. Withdraw from others. That way, if they can't see you, you can't hurt them. They can't hurt you. It's good, right? No. Your family complains that you hide away. They're worried about you. The internet, your only outlet for freedom, makes fun of you. They "troll" you. You can't do it anymore. The weight is so heavy that it feels like you're suffocating. There must be an end. There must be a way to run away from the pain. You think, and there is. You go online and you find you're not alone. There are others, some urge you to go for help, others give you tips on how to end your suffering. You're at a crossroads now. But you've seek help. The doctors threw around illnesses at you that you knew you didn't have. You knew exactly what you had. Depression. The pills didn't help. You're screaming and they don't hear. Reach for the rope, it's time to end it all.
This is what depression feels like. This is the road that many have walked. Some have survived. Some have perished and lost their battle with depression. I say to you, please. If you've ever felt like this. If you feel like this right now. Seek help. When you end your life, and that boulder is off your shoulders, it will attach to others around you. It's not worth it. You're not saving anyone. Go to someone, talk, eventually, the rock will fall, pebble by pebble.
And to you all that are in the internet, stop being trolls. There is no excuse to be abusive to others. To you all that find pleasure in humiliating others and shielding under the veil of anonymity, I beg you. Stop. Some of you have attacked me, with my daughter, and it hurts. You all know where to go to make the dagger stick. It's sickening. I'm glad I'm strong enough to only be mildly hurt by it, strong enough to know that you need more help than I do. But I will also say this. One day, one of those hateful messages you write will end a life. You will be the reason, the last drop, the last pebble, the last ounce of required weight that it took that person to be driven to insanity, and to do such a horrible thing. Don't be that person. Instead of attacking, lend a help, help them, they need your help. Instead of ending a life, save a life.
Let's not forget Robin Williams, let's carry his memory in our hearts, share his gift with others, and use his last act as a lesson on how to be a better human being. On how you're not alone if you're depressed, and how you hurt the world once you're gone. It doesn't solve problems, it creates more. Let's all be a shoulder for others to cry, let's be humans, and take the monsters and devils out of us. Let's help someone that needs it today.

I needed to do a quick lotd pretty much because I've been wearing this outfit for two days I I freaking love it, but I couldn't take it off without like.. putting something out there for it cus.. I freaking love it. It's based on one of my favorite Disney characters, probably my second favorite after Maleficent, just because I completely love his song, and I totally love how it came out, the look I mean, the pic was a quickie, so forgive the lack of detailing on it, but.. Collab this round is totally amazing and.. BOOM totaly inspired me with the little top hat. I actually talked to her, turns out I got the inspiration right! And it isnpired a whole Dr. Facilier look. I wanted to do more, but I'm kinda working, and well.. yeah.. this is cute. You guys should dress up like Dr. Facilier, and sing his song all the time like me. Sound like a plan? Yes? Yes?? OKAY. Do it. I'm going to just go to the credits cus I'm uber busy with the fair stuff, and with making stuff, and trying not to be sick and die. Okay? Kay. Kay? Cool.

Two major events are going on right now. Flux, and Fameshed, and though there were a lot of things that didn't fit my style in Flux.. I have to admit, Lark did totally amazing with this floating Tiki. It comes with all the poses in in (Including the one I used in the picture) and, you don't have to accept an attachment, go into your inventory, wear it, and then remember to take it off.. no.. the sit just asks you if it's okay to attach the item to you! I thought that was a pretty cool feature, but I'm a dork, so.. sue me. So.. yeah, I had to use my pool just for this item, because.. amazing, and the lights also come on their own if you just want the flamigo lights, so.. pretty cool stuff! The pool is old, well.. relatively speaking, it's been collecting dust in my Narnia for about a month or two, so I thought it was time to finally show it off. And then the yard flamingo was.. totally worth it, amazing add for your garden if you want some giggles.
Then we have Fameshed. Now, it's not a secret that I totally love Fameshed, and Trompe's release ofr it was amazing to go with this pool set. Classy, sophisticated, and colorful, fits great indoors for a more relaxed feel at home, but.. personally, I like it outside with all my cool awesome stuff because.. well.. it fits. Don't forget to visit these two events going on NOW to get some of these goodies, along with a lot of other goodies.

Guyyyyyyyyssss! Hair fair is once again upon us! I'm so uber excited about it too! I'm not entering for the contest, but.. I decided to talk to you guys about it because it's a huuuuuuuuge cause that's so dear to my heart. So.. if you don't know, Hair Fair is a yearly event to raise money for Wigs for Kids. Now.. what is Wigs for Kids? Organization that donates wigs.. for kids with cancer. Now, this really means a lot to me because not only do I have cancer, but I have family that's had it, and suffered from it, and passed.. and if you can just put a small smile on their faces, well, that's what matters. Not only that, with my daughter passing after she was born, I have a huge soft spot for children in need, and being able to see a kid with cancer smile, and have hair.. well, how beautiful is that? I actually am tearing up just writing this. But it is because of this that year after year, many designers flock to these four sims, and donate some of their makings to this wonderful cause. I applaud the organizers for this, because it is truly something beautiful that they're doing.
Now.. one thing about hair fair? It's laggy as hell, you have to fight like hell to get in, and you crash a million and one times while you're there. Truth. But it is sooooo worth it, a lot of designers will have exclusives, and even gifts to help promote their brand. So.. being granted early access alone is a huge thing! Make sure to try and get in, I mean.. what's the worst that could happen?! You get a no? It's still a fun theme to play around, inspiration by movies? Heck yes! I've always wanted to do a Breakfast at Tiffany's poster, and now I have for something that truly inspires me. I'm copying the rules from the website, make sure to read them carefully.

And Arcade is upon us.. an after opening a lot of goodies, crying and agonizing about the things we wanted, and parading around in our new goodies, I decided to blog about some of my favorite things.. keep in mind, oh, there's plenty more, this is just what fit with the theme I had in mind, and the new exile hair for fameshed! And the new tank top from E! that I'm just absolutely in love with. So.. here's a couple of things, both wears, and furniture goodies. If you haven't had the chance to go to the Arcade yet.. you should, I mean, all the goodies are just amazing, the designers really did do a lot of amazing stuff this round, all of it is so.. I don't know, playful that it really reminds me of my childhood, been rather nostalgic while opening my goodies. Anyways, round one of the Arcade goodies that I have, enjoy! And visit now! It's worth the fighting to get in.
Not only are my ears showing, but.. my inner child must be begging to come out! Oh well, such is life, I suppose. I can't get enough Disney Bounding, and while waiting rather impatiently for Collabor88 with friends of mine taunting me about it, I decided I would say a big f u to them, and instead of sitting down in a corner, rocking myself while sobbing impatiently for Collab to open, I would get my inner Mickey on, and show them. And so I did! Ears and all. And with this, I guess I should catch up with my haiku challenge from Berry, right? I couldn't add it in the picture.. because.. well, this was rather unexpected, and out of the blue, but.. here's my SL Haiku:
Mickey ears on head,
Photoshop kicks my darn arse,
Haikus are so hard.
Yeah.. yeah.. I know.. lame. I actually might be better at the whole photoshop portion of blogging than writting, specially when it comes to frigging haikus. Thanks Berry!
I did say that I was totally in love with the Collabor88 round, right? And I did say there was more to come, right? Well, everything worn here is actually from Collabor88, except for the bracelet, the ring, and the skin. The amount of looks you can make this round is endless, and this dress by The Sea Hole, Love, so whimsical and cute, and the leggings by tee*fy, and Oh, God, that new hair. So in love. If you haven't gone, make sure to stop by!
Collabor88 has arrived, and I couldn't be more excited about some of the items that are up for grab. Can I start with this little dress by Ison? I normally don't buy fat packs.. and I rarely wear red, but.. I love the dress, and the fly away theme, and the fact that you can change it completely by changing the top layer. And the glasses by Boom? New set of jewelry from Maxi Gossamer? Yes, please! If you haven't yet gone.. GO! What are you waiting for? I am completely insane about the new round of collabor88. Keep tune for more looks from Collabor88 to come!
And now that we're getting closer to Christmas, I'm getting back my Christmas spirt... Yay? I don't know if that's a good thing or not, my husband might hit me over the head with something if I start singing the Twelve Days of Christmas again. But.. now I'm mixing Jazz, and Christmas music.. Maybe it's my audience that will hit me over the head with something now... Sorry! I hope you enjoy it at least?
So, back in the spirit of Christmas, and snow, and everything gorgeous, and beautiful. The Frost Fair is still going on guys! And seriously be prepared to empty your pockets when you go, because you'll leave broke! I've always been a huge fan of Dolle*, and this little sweater dress, to me, captivated something so beautifuly and Christmasy that to anyone that shares my styling likes.. it really is worth getting. Sweater, cozy, and love. It's adorable! And the mapping and texture work of the sweater is really amazing. I know you guys hear me say that a lot, but I'm just soooo picky about things like that, that when I see a designer that actually gets it, it's worth sticking to like glue! I really wanted to keep the focus on the sweater on this shoot, so the style was minimal while paring with this, I just added the BOOM scarf from Collabor88, and the Collabor88 set from Noodles, Celestial (which, by the way, if you haven't seen all of Natalee Oodle's work, it's soooo good, I literally drool and eep every time I see her in an event, I truly think her style and her skills will one day make her the next big accessory designer), and finished it off with tights, and a pair of heels, what you end up with is a cute, cozy look for the holidays!
Ok, so first of all, I know what you're thinking. The hell Sash! You haven't posted in forever!
I really want to stress here, I haven't forgotten you all... It's just in life.. when it rains, it pours. I have been hospitalized, and seriously, it feels like every week there's something new! Ack! Anyways, back home and working on being pneumonia free! So I'm back baby! Yah!
And I'm back again sharing two looks that are absolutely must haves this season for Christmas. I've paired them off with different pieces to make it look classy and gorgeous! Just because it's Christmas, it is not an excuse to look like a clown and a badly dressed Santa, guys! No! Use this time to simply make nice and subtle reminders of the wonderful season, and have fun! My advice when it comes to fashion has been "Don't overdo it!" It is the same during Christmas, sometimes.. less is more. Which means.. No Christmas walkers for you!
I'm loving the wintery fashions over at Acid Lily this week, so don't forget to stop by and grab these outfits! Only 75L each.. tops.
