Winter Winds

It's been so long since I've posted, and I don't mean for that to happen, just kinda does. As you guys know, I have like a crapton of health issues, so it's hard for me to balance designing, blogging, and my own health at times, but! Allons-y! I feel like there's way too much to recap, and lots of inventory to go through! How in the heck did I get over 80k items while I was gone!? Busy designers be busy. That, and I don't even want to try to do a search for "poly" in that mess. Nope.

So first off, the fabulous Aime bunny lady from Mish Mish made a gorgeous jewelry box for this round of Collab, and it actually has songs and it spins and everything, and at the other side it has this cute little ring, I'm just.. so in love it's not even funny. Then you have the fab Andel Rhiadra from A.D.D Andel that made these gorgeous winter candles, and since I didn't post in December, I felt like I could bring them in and tie the whole winter theme together, along with the shrubble.. well, not shrubble, but I shall call it my shrubble and it shall be mine forever because.. the first thing that I knew from Mish Mish was the shrubble, and now they have a snow version of it that you can sit on (big) and the small one, for travel size, and bed time, of course.

One of the best things about being a designer, I have to say, is that you can make the things that you want. Like.. No secret that I'm a huge Doctor Who fan, so for a VIP gift for Wimey, I made the bracelet. "Neither Cruel, nor Cowardly. Never give up, never give in". I have got to say that was one of the best Doctor Who quotes ever. So, I put it in a bracelet, silver, for free, just 100L to join the VIP group for future discount, news, and what not. Ison now has mesh eyes, available in Fameshed, and I'm totally in love. And let's not forget the new hair by the fabulous, unique Bubbles Clawtooth from Clawtooth, which will be in the mainstore soon, and was in the last round of Collabor88.

You Might Say I'm a Dreamer...

Arcade time is once again upon us, you know, that one time a year that everyone on the grid pretty much craps their pants, and empties out their bank account because you just have to have that one rare that the machine won't give you. I mean.. this sounds pretty much about right, right? I know it's almost the case for me. I mean, my name is Sash Arabello, and I'm an arcade gatcha addict. Welp!

This round marks the one year anniversary of the Arcade, and everything is just so amazing, and awesome! I'm extremely excited to see Lark in the round up, Sienia is so talented, she truly deserves to be in there! And then you have the cuteness my MishMish, like.. I know I already blogged it, but it's so cute I don't even care. And what about that rare by Alouette? and let's not even talk about the mess that was TeeFy. I think I sold my soul to that machine. But.. over all, I couldn't be more excited for this round, so beautiful and amazing, like.. I'm speechless. So if you haven't gone.. make sure to keep trying! And maybe even try the yard sales while you wait to get in, I assure you.. with this amazing round, you won't be disappointed. THere's going to be way more to come, but this is just a sneak peek at a set that I'm currently working on. Enjoy being swept by my magical dream!

My Favorite Places

So just like every Monday.. Berry posted her challenge up, and today it's about your favorite places. And I sat for a while. I mean.. my list is pretty boring. I either shop, or stay in a platform forever. So.. I doubted pictures of a white box would have been very interesting, besides, it's not neat AT ALL, so.. that was out of the question. But.. then I thought.. when I'm not working, I actually do stuff... other than shopping.. I roleplay! And I mean, right now there's very few places that I enjoy, all with the drama and lame people, just.. no.. You know? Like.. not even going to be going into it because I don't like to be negative, but.. whatever. There's one place in the grid however, that always has me going back to it, and that's Mischief Managed. I've talked about it a lot of times, but.. it's picturesque, and it has awesome RP stuff going on, so.. of course I would love it. Further more, there's also a new sim around the grid for Game of Thrones RP that an old friend of mine that I met in Mischief Managed brought me too, and I've been having a lot of fun there too! So.. I guess my two favorite places in the grind are.. Mischief Managed, and Crownlands! 

I also wanted to take a couple moments right now to speak about a couple new releases. One.. Umm.. Can we please talk about the new uniforms that Damien Fate released for his Fateplay line? It has kid mesh sizes. You know.. they fit child av's, without toddleedoo, and not only that.. they're actually well made, and mesh. I think the whole Hogwarts community in SL wept in joy when this was released. 

Now.. shifting. ARCADE! Arcade is upon us, and I've been lucky enough to get a couple previews, and some more that i'll share in a blog post later this week. But.. well, if you're like me, you're awaiting for the Arcade to open up while jumping up and down your chair. No, really, is okay, this release is sooo exciting. For once.. the cute adorable chipmunks of MishMish.. I mean.. words can't even describe how adorable they are! And then you have the release of Lark. Lark is new this round in the Arcade, and I couldn't be happier to see them in this line up! Like.. It's uber exciting because Sienia is an amazing talented designer that works extremely hard and her creativity is just.. extraordinary. I think the release she made for the Arcade just shows us a glimpse of not only her talent, but that amazing creativity that she possesses that sets her apart from every designer out there. Her books and bookcase are really cleverly done, and the texturing is some of the best that I've seen in the gird in those books, and I'm not even exaggerating. I love these. So.. make sure to keep an out for her, and visit her store for other amazing stuff! Meanwhile, sit with me and glare at your pc, until it's time for you to get into the Arcade!

Fly Me to the Moon

It's Collabor88's birthday again, it's weird.. thinking that I've been in SL this long. But let's see.. last year.. I didn't even blog. Not at this time, no, but I was getting incredibly close to coming into the blogging scene.. or rather making my mind up finally. Welp. I spent all my lindens in Collab and.. oh.. wait.. no.. no. That hasn't changed. :/. I guess I do get some review copies now, but.. I'd like to say.. blogging is not a hobby to get free crap. I mean, yes, the free stuff designers give us does help a lot. But! For the most part.. we buy. Just like you. If not more, just so we're able to keep up with the current trends and deliver you new inventive outfits to spice up your sl life. Rant over. But.. I'd like to add that.. in just one year, the growth of every single designer out there is just.. spectacular. I mean, Fri.day. I've always LOVED fri.day. Huge fan of her work, but.. you know what? The growth she's made in the past year, moving out of sculpts and layers, it's been huge! These shoes that go along with Slink feet (WARNING! YOU NEED SLINK MEDIUM FEET((POINTY TOE ONES)) IN ORDER TO WEAR THESE AMAZINGLY ADORABLE SHOES.) just come to prove the incredible growth that Darling Monday has had as a designer, and let's not even bring up her furniture shop, we'd be talking for DAYS. Tyr Rozemblum. I ADORE Tyr's designs.. Have for years. I actually told her this. I've been following her since.. well, back in the days of Tyranny designs when she had the skins, and stuff.. found her in a hunt, never let go as a costumer, and now look at her, in my opinion, she does some of the best mesh drape work I've seen, and the texturing, it's just.. simply divine. This dress speaks volumes of just how far Tyr has come as a designer, Love this. And you know what.. this year has also brought a lot of new designers, point in case, Aime Takaaki of MishMish. It seems like just yesterday that Celeste Forwzy came strolling around with the shrubbie, and saying in skype "oh.. MishMish" to the point that I would just double over laughing. Now.. months after that shrubbie, she's in the Arcade, in Collab, and look at these adorable things she's made, and that moon for limited 50? Can you really get any more adorable that that? Toy wise, she's one of my favorite designers, and she's one of the kindest people that I know. Finally, we have the Sash skin, which.. I love. Yes, it not only has my name on it, but it looks so adorable, I just can't with it. I've followed Inka since.. well.. back when I used to frequent the dressing room, and now she's also in the line up for collab, even if it's just as a guest. All of these people.. have such an amazing talent, and just looking back at how the year has passed, and how they've grown, well, I get a little sentimental. That's really all I have to say.. just.. make sure to visit Collab in this special event, their birthday! And get some amazing stuff to add to your Narnias!

So, I decided to redo my av.. again. Mainly because I'm really in love at the moment with the Cho skin from essences. Inka is right, the cute little button nose is just to die for, and the lips in the Collabor88 pack, and the soft feel to it.. yeah.. okay Inka, you got me, I'm totally freaking in love this this skin, and I never want to take it off. Darn you. Still love you though. So.. yeah.. for now this will be my new av. Also, there was a new release by r3volt today, this lovely jacket with an HUD to change the color of it, and it's just amazing.. to be hnest, I kept it black because.. well.. I wanted a rocker feel to it.. but.. when I saw this jacket it made me want to get a tank top on, some jeans, and go for a ride.. in my epic scooter of epicness. Yes.. I'll admit. I rode the scooter in my platform, and again, forgot everything, and fell down to the sim, to this spot that I took the picture on. Welp. It's awesome really Libby and Nat are doing an amazing job in the sim, and I should really work on the house but.. I've been a total slacker, but anyways.. if you haven't seen this little building behind my really awesomely badass av, it's by MishMish! My little lovely bunny made it, and it's only 11 land impact, low lag, very simple, but the perfect piece for your land, it was for food fair, but if it's not in her mainstore by now, it should be soon! Make sure to grab it, the building is really a simple cute adorable little thing that you never really know when it will become handy.. besides, like.. 11 land impact guys, that's like.. a steal in prims for such a cute little thing. So.. make sure to grab it, and give Aime plenty of carrots, I hear she likes that.

Love Donna Flora

So, if you don't know who Donna Flora is.. you've practically been living under a rock. Okay, exaggerating, sorry! But.. Donna Flora is by far one of the biggest, and oldest names in jewelry. She got some devastating news as of recently, and Second Life has come together in order to help her out. She's battling cancer now, and we all wish her the best of luck in her battle. It's always really nice to see SL come together like this though, like.. instead of all the hate, and the annoying battles that happen in SL, it's really nice to see people come together and try to help each other out. To me, that's what SL and the experience of it all is about. Not trying to bring other people down, but trying to help each other up. Not tearing down, but building. There's been a lot more tearing down lately than usual, I mean, I've even felt it, so.. nice change! I guess. But.. I decided to compile a cute look with a couple of items for the Love Donna Flora event. 

Also, the Seraphim social is up and running, and one of my favorite items in this necklace from Lark. I just love it, and the symbolism of it. So.. let me tell you a little bit about it. The Seraphim Social is an event that it's all about reading a book, and then designers make an item based on the book. It's actually a pretty cool concept that Lashae has created, and I loved it, had to get on board any way that I could. Now if only I could stop playing SL long enough to actually read.. it would be better, right!? But this month, for the opening month, the book chosen was The Host. And even though I'm not a HUGE fan of Stphanie Meyer, well.. I have to admit.. the movie wasn't half bad. Wasn't Twilight, but then again, I might not have hated Twilight half as much without freaking Stewart kid.. at any rate, I think I might actually pick up this read! This necklace represents the two souls inside of the body, and like.. any ways, it's really cool, and I love it, and I'm a sucker for things with a lot of meaning behind it, so.. yeah, love, and worth a pick up! So... another week in the hospital, this is getting really old, but I'm finally back. Well, been back since yesterday, just took me a little because I really really wanted to do something good for this post! And I'm actually pretty happy. A lot of things have been happening. For one, HAIR FAIR. I love hair fair, and I was lucky enough to have one of my works selected to be displayed guys! And even though I didn't get to use my early pass for either hair fair bloggers, or my early pass for winning runner up, I am still so happy and humbled to be selected for both, so thanks to the Hair fair theme. And I still managed to shop.. over 20K worth in hair, trust, I'm a shopaholic when it comes to hair, but.. it's worth it guys, a percentage of your sales goes to Wigs for Kids, which also helps other kids with cancer .. well, have wigs! So I love this organization, and I have no problem on dropping a lot of cash to support! Make sure to go and check out Hair Fair this year. It's built in LEGOS. And it's amazing, they outdid themselves. Shame Truth wasn't there, and I don't even wanna know the story, so gossip starters, don't even! I also checked out collab, and that's where the rest of my linden went. Wops. But.. well, Aime actually gave me these cute little fairies, they're so adorable, and they make me cry every time I detach them.. because Aime is a very evil bunny filled with cuteness. I just can't. I wanted to do a follow through the forest kind of theme, reminds me a little of Sleeping Beauty.. following the glowing light to her doom! Except.. they're good fairies... I hope! So I also went to Maitreya and got the jeans.. because.. Maitreya has a sale, and they have the best jeans in grid, so I had to fat pack! All in all, a lot of shopping.

Oh.. yeah.. this skin? The newness of essences. It's so soft and adorable, Cho is a must if you are going for more of a youthful/soft look, or Asian. I went for youthful. And also, a plurker friend sent me these a long time ago, but.. I've been bad! So much going on, but.. doctor who nails. I'm a huuuuge fan of Doctor Who, so.. .yeah, I'm rocking these pretty often. It's Time

It's time to begin blogging again! I know I had a bit of a break there, couldn't really help it, week long stay at the hospital will really limit how much you can post :s. But, I'm back, and finally finished the picture that I had in mind before I had to go into the ER. See, I had this vision with this sweat shirt, and yes, I know I'm late in the bandwagon, but I missed the memo that Mon Tissu came out with new stuff, and I kept seeing this sweater everwhere, and I wanted it! So.. I finally investigated. Aka, I typed "Oui, sweater, secondlife into google in hopes that a blogger would be as silly as me as to make that go into her post. Good news for me, I'm not the only dorky blogger out there I guess, and I found it. I haven't taken it off since I found it, from wearing it along with my underwear, to with jeans, to just random naked with a sweater, I've kept it on. Then my friend from Olive, Rose, made that lovely purse for her store, and I was like.. OMG YES! And I added it, and then I added a couple accessories from Lark.. Like the headband. Get used to it guys, I'm the Blair Waldorf of SL. Headbands are my thing. Then... socks, I needed socks, if you have socks, then you need boots and shorts. And end it with MishMish for the final touch of adorb, and you're ready to begin! Happy shopping guys!
