In Retrospective

Pardon the half way done picture. But.. well..... long week, and I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings.

It's been an insane week! If you would have told me last month that all of this was going to happen, I wouldn't have believed it. Hell, I still kind of don't. It's been surreal, making things, actually selling, seeing bloggers whose work I enjoy actually blogging and enjoying my things. There's been tears, and a lot of happiness. And to believe that a month ago I couldn't build if I didn't follow a tutorial. Not to say I don't look things up still or ask for help, but.. the growth this week alone has been huge. I owe a lot of people for that, and I also have to thank Inka for giving me the chance to go in this journey with her.

With Candy Fair over, and starting out with Wizarding Fair tomorrow at noon, and nothing else to build, I have to breath. It's been a madhouse trying to learn all of this, dealing with my health issues, actually being hospitalized for a good portion of this time, and then.. culminating on this. Just.Wow. I can't believe I even got the honor to be a part of FLF this week. Can you talk about lucky?! So, I guess I have to say thank you to the few close friends that helped me out through this, Inka, Sienia, Aime, Tyr, Allegory, all of you for helping me when I wanted to tear my hair out and run away and quick, those friends that were genuinely supportive and helped me out along the way to keep my spirit. MJ and Rose, and everyone at the Wizarding Fair for allowing me to participate. I just.. I'm overjoyed. All of the wonderful bloggers. I mean, I got blogged by Berry! I was speechless, I still can't really believe it. Most of you have been amazing to me, and I greatly appreciate it.

I put a look together really quick with stuff from Wizarding Fair to show you guys, some of my faves, I'm sure now that things slowed down I'll be able to showcase a little more, God willing. I'm wearing my necklace, sue me, I'm proud, my sweat, blood,and tears went into that texture work, and many hours, I'm very happy with it, the skin is new from Essences, available at Wizarding Fair, and it comes with different breast options, so it'll be kid friendly, top from Peqe cus.. well, I love Peqe. I'm Back in the Saddle again (ish?)

Woah it feels like forever since I've done this. Between starting to design, and health issues, it has been weeks! Month? I'm sorry! I haven't forgotten all of you, just.. life has some really strange loops on it at times. I had to get surgery, I need another surgery, and now I'm designing! I'm actually in Candy Fair and Wizarding Fair, AND FLF this week. Can you talk about stress? But I've missed blogging so much that I had to come back for a ninja attack. Hayyy-ya!

So, Candy Fair starts like.. tomorrow, and there's two things that I'm absolutely in love with accessories wise. Atooly made a head band, and I mean.. come on.. we all know I'm kind of obsessed with head bands, and it has candy on it.. like.. yeah, I'm on that. Then, I had the pleasure to meet Tea Soup, her booth is next to mine and Inka's! And she's like.. the sweetest girl ever! I absolutely love her necklace and bracelet for the fair, and just.. adore. Fameshed opened a couple days ago.. obssesed with this shirt by Cracked Mirror, like.. love, the under top is semi sheer, and the sweater on it, just... like.. completely love, and the hair by wasabi pills, with a headband.. like.. yeah, I'm done, I can't with all the cute at fameshed this round. 

Now, Wizarding Fair opens this Sunday, and I'm still making crap for it, so forgive me for this crappy post, but, I did make this watch, it's a pocket watch, it has initials on it, and then it has one for each house with teh metal and gem for the house, the loyal, the ambitious, the brave, and the wise. But this is my favorite. It's modeled after a snitch, and it's got "I open at the close" engraved on it, both in silver/gold and gold/gold version. There will be two machines, each 25L. And don't forget to stay tuned for more Wizarding Fair goodies, it'll be absolutely amazing, I know Anya and Sienia from Lark are making a house elf, and I won't lie, I'm kind of crappying my pants about it!

So.. due to technical difficulties, I missed last meme, but.. fear no more! I am doing these weeks! Now that we have gotten the difficult.. well.. some of it anyways, stuff out of the way, we can move on to light hearted crap once more, all while trying to keep the promise we made in the last challenge. What is your birthday and/or Zodiac sign? – November 24th, I'm a Sagittarius. Hence the pic!  

Do you believe in or follow astrology? – Not really, no.. I mean, sometimes I do it for fun, but most of the time, I think it's just lucky guesses. Lucky broad guesses. So I guess that's really it? However, sometimes it's really really fun to look up at stuff online and be like.. *welp* That's sooo me! Or "Omg, that's sooo true!" And then you forget it and go on with your daily activities pretty much. 

Do you feel your sign’s attributes reflect who you are? – Free spirted, and extremely loyal. Honest to a fault, and extremely clumsy. :/ I'm kinda out of luck, aren't I? At least I'll have fun being lead blindly to my doom? Kinda feels like that's what it's meant to be.... but.. joking aside! They say we're good leaders, I don't feel like I am though, I tend to be quieter, and just.. stay to myself, I'm scared of hurting others, so... yeah.. that good leader thing.. not so much. 

Have you ever been to a psychic or astrologer either in RL or in SL (are there any in SL?) No, kind of want to go though! Just for the lol's, of course.

Do you read your horoscope daily and try to follow any advice, recommendations or warnings it may have for you that day? They still do the daily thing with advice and what is going to happen this week? *welp* well, there's your answer, folks! 

Do you have very strong feelings about astrology, either negative or positive? Not really, they're fun to read.. but that's just about it, I don't believe in them, run my life by them, or anything.. I just do my own thing. 

Yay! This week was short! I guess I don't have much to say on the subject.. but.. the quote I used on my picture, I thought it represents what is said about Sagittariuses in a positive way. It's said by Richard Bach, a writer, and whether you're a Sagittarius or not.. this quote is beautifully inspiring. "Dream what you dare to dream, Go where you want to go, be what you want to be. Live." Gorgeous, and rings soooo true for anyone! 

Other than that.. Collab just opened up.. and the lovely Inka Mexicola, my new wife, might I add.. just.. don't even ask. There was eloping, and crying and lots of love, but.. whatever, she named this skin after me, and I felt so special.. cus.. no one has ever named anything after me, so.. waterworks, and crap like that, but.. the skin comes in different make up sets, or you can make your own like I do, and add all kinds of stuff to it, like my freckles and beauty marks. Natalee Oodles also made a wonderful set in memory of Millie Gears that's worth picking up for sure. I mean.. headbands. We all know how that gets me excited. I've Got This Friend

I've got this friend that every Monday morning makes memes! And I love doing it, mainly because my readers get a really good feel of who I am. This week it's all about questions, and well, I thought I'd try my best to answer them honestly, without offending anyone. There's so much drama around, sadly, and I suppose it's just a big part of SL, no matter where you go, but.. I want to have, no drama. I've got enough of that in RL. So.. on to it? I hope you guys actually enjoy reading these, I don't... know? But I think it's a good way for you to get to know the person the behind the pretty pictures.

How do you deal with criticism? In the past I wasn't the best with this, I'll admit. I got very easily offended, and got my feelings hurt. I mean, a big part of my change lately might be the medication I'm on that just makes me not give a crap, or maybe I've been through so much that I honestly don't care, but.. I handle it really well, I can separate it, and take it to fix and work on myself, if that makes sense? Like.. I don't take offense. And if you mean offense.. Honey, I don't care, but, I think this has actually helped me out a lot in my time in Second Life now, and allowed my blog and SL adventures to become more enjoyable. 

What’s the most infuriating thing other SL residents do? The constant attacking some people do. Specially on Plurk. Come on, it's getting old, really. I would understand if we were still in High School, but we're not. Most of you are actually in your thirties, I'm in my twenties, I mean.. come on. We should have moved past this years ago. 

Which SL resident would you most like to have lunch with and why? Easy, Strawberry Singh. I know, lame answer is lame! But she's a huuuuge part of why I became a blogger. For years I followed her blog and her growth, and I was too shy to do anything, but then I finally decided to start to learn photoshop, and follow her tutorials, and I started this, which has now overtaken my SL life and changed it. In a way, Berry made me guys. And she can destroy me. Kidding aside, she's been a huge inspiration to me, and I'd be honor to even spend a day around her. I'd probably start squealing if I did RL and my husband would look at me like I'm a loser. It's ok though, I am. 

Who would you say is your “anti” role model? Someone who serves as a warning rather than an inspiration? There's a few people. I'm not even going to say names, I don't want to get into it. But I've voiced myself against them, they know who they are. I don't backstab, I speak truthfully, I am not double faced, and I won't attack people for no reason. People that do that are my anti role models. 

What was something you used to enjoy, but was ruined for you? Hm, I guess Roleplay. I used to enjoy rp'ing a lot, but there is so much competition with slutty girls that just want sex, that it just became an annoyance more than anything. I don't need to compete and try to count down how many more "sexings" I've had than you. It's sad. Trying to get attention through sex speaks very low. I'm sorry. I'm not going to compete in things like that, before I do, I'll leave. 

What’s something you want to do that you’d be embarrassed to tell other people about? I.. honestly can't think of anything? I'd want to try being a kid av and getting adopted, but.. I see sometimes the secrets.. in the rare occassions that I do read them, and just.. I get heart broken that that's how some people treat their family. I believe in Ohana. Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind :D. 

What’s the oddest term of endearment you’ve ever used or that someone’s used for you? I call my RL husband Hunny Bunny! And I call my best friend in SL Cliopants. 

Have you ever fallen in love with another SL resident? Yes

Describe a time/event in your slife that you’re nostalgic for. Rp'ing in my first Harry Potter sim. It was sooooo much fun. 

What’s something sweet you’d like someone to do for you? Just a kind word will do. Stars in my flickr page also make me teary eye. Getting runner up on Hair Fair made me cry too. I don't know. I guess feeling like there's a sense of achievement does it for me.

So... another week in the hospital, this is getting really old, but I'm finally back. Well, been back since yesterday, just took me a little because I really really wanted to do something good for this post! And I'm actually pretty happy. A lot of things have been happening. For one, HAIR FAIR. I love hair fair, and I was lucky enough to have one of my works selected to be displayed guys! And even though I didn't get to use my early pass for either hair fair bloggers, or my early pass for winning runner up, I am still so happy and humbled to be selected for both, so thanks to the Hair fair theme. And I still managed to shop.. over 20K worth in hair, trust, I'm a shopaholic when it comes to hair, but.. it's worth it guys, a percentage of your sales goes to Wigs for Kids, which also helps other kids with cancer .. well, have wigs! So I love this organization, and I have no problem on dropping a lot of cash to support! Make sure to go and check out Hair Fair this year. It's built in LEGOS. And it's amazing, they outdid themselves. Shame Truth wasn't there, and I don't even wanna know the story, so gossip starters, don't even! I also checked out collab, and that's where the rest of my linden went. Wops. But.. well, Aime actually gave me these cute little fairies, they're so adorable, and they make me cry every time I detach them.. because Aime is a very evil bunny filled with cuteness. I just can't. I wanted to do a follow through the forest kind of theme, reminds me a little of Sleeping Beauty.. following the glowing light to her doom! Except.. they're good fairies... I hope! So I also went to Maitreya and got the jeans.. because.. Maitreya has a sale, and they have the best jeans in grid, so I had to fat pack! All in all, a lot of shopping.

Oh.. yeah.. this skin? The newness of essences. It's so soft and adorable, Cho is a must if you are going for more of a youthful/soft look, or Asian. I went for youthful. And also, a plurker friend sent me these a long time ago, but.. I've been bad! So much going on, but.. doctor who nails. I'm a huuuuge fan of Doctor Who, so.. .yeah, I'm rocking these pretty often. Will You Still Love Me When I'm No Longer Young and Beautiful?

So Berry did a new tutorial, and if you haven't watched Berry's tutorials, and are learning photoshop, I HIGHLY recommend that you do. She seriously does an amazing job with them, they're easy to follow, they taught me how to do high quality pictures just in world, and teaches me something new every day, like Picmonkey, why has no one ever told me this stuff exists?! So.. once I saw her tutorial, I decided to give it my own shot. I mean I added my own little touches to it, like using highpass in order to sharpen an image quickly, and with a mask it's easy to delete the parts you don't' want to be sharpened and allow to remain soft, then I also use noise to give the skin a little more pores and realism to it, using a mask to make sure i don't get the lips, nor the eyes, nor parts that obviously wouldn't have pores. I'm going to link to Berry's tutorial page, because there's so many that would benefit from reading and listening and watching, she's amazeballs, and she's the sweetest person ever, really, so.. YEAH. I'm totally fangirling, but whatever. Berry is the one person that got me to blogging, and pretty much.. in her own way through her tutorials has always been at my side helping, so thank you!

It All Ends....

So if you didn't know by now, I'm a die hard Harry Potter fan. So.. I did Breakfast at Tiffany's last post, and then Berry decided to put a challenge for a movie poster.. so I was like.. well. FINE! Sash Arabello 7 will be at a theater near you soon, it's an SL production, but since avatars are not 3d, you're kind of out of luck. No way to see it in 3d, okay? But yes! I couldn't help myself but to make a Hermione inspired picture. I really love that last year's teasers with the characters. I didn't have a Bellatrix hair. And I have a nose, so I couldn't be Voldemort. So I decided to go for the fierce good girl character, Hermione! I'm actually pretty happy with how it came out, and it was a fun challenge, trying to come up with all the things to add at the bottom, and all, so.. I hope you like my Hermione! Or.. well.. my.. movie! Yes, I'm starring in it. It's pretty underground and indie, only hipsters like me would know about it.

So.. I'm kinda stuck in one place, unable to do much of anything, not understanding Maya because.. seriously, I think I could learn Chinese faster than I could this thing.. so I thought.. mom's laptop has Photoshop . why the hell am I wasting time? So.. I tried to do another look for the poster contest model search thing. Chandni from Hopscotch was incredibly kind in making a pose for me to use, woman power, I think she's also going to sell it in her store too. So.. I nagged for my tablet to be brought, and my mom had like no say, it was getting installed into her laptop, and I was going to do pretty pictures. Because.. well, fuck all, that's why. So.. I finally got the look that I wanted to make, a Rosie the Riveter look for this new amazing Truth hair that I have, doesn't it look amazing? I also bought the new skin for Essences, Opera, after looking at it for like an hour deciding if I was going to buy it or not. Literally. I have been staring at it for days, hours total, trying to talk me into it, or out of it, finally I just went and bought it, and no shame, I adore the softness in the face for this skin, and the detail of it, lovely.

Exciting news! Big huge exciting news! Truth has new stuff, and even though they're getting rid of truth district, which is a shame... really, like.. where the heck are we supposed to shop from next when he's having a sale?! Because when I read this in Berry's blog, I about seriously pooped my pants guys, and like.. really, I never use poop when blogging, but this is some really serious business!

I'm young, I'm fun and I'm flirty, I need jewelry with this stone that reflects that and doesn't make me feel like I have a saggy vajayjay and about to get the kids from work and theirs from soccer practice. So.. I was a little slow this week with Disneybound.. but.. don't hate on me! I've been through a lot this week, that, and it's partner's week for Disneybound! Aladdin and Jasmine. I love this movie, one of the ones that I used to watch in repeat when I was a kid. You know.. when we still had the bulky VHS, and would play, rewind like a million and one times. Yup. That was me, singing along, and yelling at Jafar. And cry with the Genie.. Ah childhood, how I miss thee. So.. of course I had to get my Aladdin, it wasn't an option to have anything but the magic carpet ride. Nope. So I nagged one of my best friends, James Matfield into doing this shoot with me, and the results.. well, I love them. Through a couple of days of planning and trying to get free time together, we finally did it! I hope you like this week's Disneybound challenge, I know I can't wait for next week. And Natalee.. I'm still waiting for something to do with Sleeping Beauty. I swear I'm about to throw a major fit here, woman!
