Winter Winds

It's been so long since I've posted, and I don't mean for that to happen, just kinda does. As you guys know, I have like a crapton of health issues, so it's hard for me to balance designing, blogging, and my own health at times, but! Allons-y! I feel like there's way too much to recap, and lots of inventory to go through! How in the heck did I get over 80k items while I was gone!? Busy designers be busy. That, and I don't even want to try to do a search for "poly" in that mess. Nope.

So first off, the fabulous Aime bunny lady from Mish Mish made a gorgeous jewelry box for this round of Collab, and it actually has songs and it spins and everything, and at the other side it has this cute little ring, I'm just.. so in love it's not even funny. Then you have the fab Andel Rhiadra from A.D.D Andel that made these gorgeous winter candles, and since I didn't post in December, I felt like I could bring them in and tie the whole winter theme together, along with the shrubble.. well, not shrubble, but I shall call it my shrubble and it shall be mine forever because.. the first thing that I knew from Mish Mish was the shrubble, and now they have a snow version of it that you can sit on (big) and the small one, for travel size, and bed time, of course.

One of the best things about being a designer, I have to say, is that you can make the things that you want. Like.. No secret that I'm a huge Doctor Who fan, so for a VIP gift for Wimey, I made the bracelet. "Neither Cruel, nor Cowardly. Never give up, never give in". I have got to say that was one of the best Doctor Who quotes ever. So, I put it in a bracelet, silver, for free, just 100L to join the VIP group for future discount, news, and what not. Ison now has mesh eyes, available in Fameshed, and I'm totally in love. And let's not forget the new hair by the fabulous, unique Bubbles Clawtooth from Clawtooth, which will be in the mainstore soon, and was in the last round of Collabor88.

I Put a Spell on You

So.. I don't know what's going on with Disneybound, but.. like.. I know that this week is Rapunzel, Tangled. I'll be honest, I like the songs. I like the mom, I didn't care much for the actual movie. I'm going to be murdered again. But.. there was a little hidden gem in Fameshed this round.. a dress by Eclectic, and even though it's not Disneybound, and I thought about maybe saving this look for it.. I can't contain it. I adore Maleficent, and when it's time again to do her, if they add her to the list, well, I'm going to do her again. But.. I just adore her, okay? Don't judge me. This dress by Eclectic totally screamed out to me, I saw the staff, I saw the evil look in the eyes, and I was like.. if Maleficent was in modern day earth.. that's so what she would have worn. So... here it is.. I based a whole look around this outfit. I thought about doing it without a staff, but.. it just wasn't the same, so I was lucky enough to find an unscripted freebie at the market place, and the detail of it was just.. perfect. So.. I used ti to tie out the whole look together and bring the vision of Maleficent to SL, modern style, and with the class she deserves. Anyways, I hope you guys like it, I'm working on a couple big posts, and also been kind of feeling sick some, so I've been kind of slow with the posts, but I apologize, but I swear there are some biggies to come! Rest assured. I plan on at least one other home blog this week ish, or next, a skin blog, and more fun stuff to come.

I know I already posted today but.. I couldn't help it. One of my favorite stores has a new release/VIP gift, and like.. it's so adorable I just had to rush and tell you all about it. So.. this Cross my heart shirt.. like.. totally free. If you're in the group. Now let me tell you a little about it. Auxiliary VIP groups  is one of the best VIP groups in the grid in my opinion. There's constantly free gifts, unlike Mon Tissu, which still highly disappoints me since the joining fee is like 1.2k, and it's insane expensive, and they haven't changed the gifts since I joined! It is 1k to join the group, however, it is totally worth it! There's new gifts every couple months, or every month... just often enough so that I feel I'm getting my worth from joining. And you earn 10% of your purchase towards store credit, so.. yeah. I'm so glad I joined it's not even funny. It's a Beautiful Day

Even though I'm sick, and have been sleeping pretty much the whole day due to the vast amount of drugs that I've been pumping into my system, I can't help but to repeat this song in my head as I finally seem to have woken up. It's a beautiful day. And in all honesty, why not? I think it's about time that I start being thankful for yet another beautiful day that I get to live, and not complaining about my current health. It's a beautiful day. Besides. Collabor88 opens in a couple hours, right? That alone is reason to celebrate.

But what better way to celebrate this revelation that with a new skin? Adam and Eve have this gorgeous little number now available in stores. I have to say, those dimple tattoo layers seriously got me, and the freckles? To die for. The level of detail in the new Siobah skin is really superb. I only have one complain, and one alone, the fact that the blonde eyebrows are soooo light. Since I'm a dark blonde, they really didn't go well along with my usual hair style, however.. for this skin, I'd go brunette in a heart beat, and that's exactly what I did. The Siobah skin comes in five different shades, from pale to very tanned, I'm actually wearing right now the T3 skin, which is right in the middle of the arrays, and it also comes in six different make up styles. Single skin for 949L and the skin fat pack of that shade for 2,900L. Definitely worth every penny for this level of detailing.

In other news, American Bazaar is participating in the New Year, New Style hunt, where they actually a gift for both men and women, right now I'm wearing the women gift (duh), and it's quite adorable. It's a cute little red dress with a brown belt around it. It might be a little too shiny in the texture for some, but for me, it was quite alright, I rather liked the styling of it. I paried it off with brown myself, though it looks good with black too, just to play off the belt that adorns the dress a little more. Since in my opinion, there was a little lack of patterns there, I added the Chantkare Khrysler tights in brown, and finished it off with boots by Maitreya. For accessories, I added the new Anuuka beads and Ethiopian cross set by Maxi Gossamer, which is currently available at fameshed.

So This Is Christmas, and What Have You Done?

The song this time was actually motivated by the desire that the world wakes up. I am an advocate for being thankful for the things you have, and opening your eyes to the misery around you. I often log in to SL and hear "Oh, I'm so depressed RL, I don't have friends, I'm so lonely" Honestly. Stop. It. It sickens me that this is what depresses you, honestly. There are a million and one things to truly be depressed, and the fact that you hide online instead of going out and trying to make friends is not one of them. I know a lot of you will say that depression is a disease, and give me that speech, but here's the thing. I suffered from depression, and it honestly takes a swift kick in the ass to make out of that depression. So this is Christmas, and what have you done? I can honestly say.. I've grown, and at the same time, it doesn't feel like I've done much. It's weird. But let that question resonate in your mind, and watch this video, it's old, but.. It will help you wake up for just a brief moment and be thankful that you have a computer and a cyber world to escape your worries.

So with a sermon over, which I felt was necessary to get out before the year ends, I'm going to dive right into the fashion. First of all, thank you, Eclectic Wingtips, for this fabulous Christmas present. For you all out there, the gift is completely free, the quality is amazing, as it's always expected and received from Eclectic, and the little cocktail dress is a nice addition for the holidays, perfect for all the parties you might have on the way!

My Attic is also up and running, and I have to say, the new up dos by Exile are truly amazing, and right in time for the holidays, with the back of the gift dress from Eclectic, I thought having an up do to show off the work on the back of the dress was just perfect.
