Bad Things

Okay, so.. Um, I really don't have much to say, it's more like I've been trying to clean up my inventory  open random boxes I had just gotten in my inventory, and then this sort of happened. I kinda loved it and I was like, hey! It's a great time to work waste time and practice my PS skills, so then this kinda happened, and because The Fantasy Collective is so awesome this round, and I seriously regret not being a part of the designers this round cus rl kicked my butt and made me sick, I decided I'd blog some of my favorite items from there. Also, I had to use some Mandala, because obviously I'm kind of addicted to them lately. Damn talented people. SHARE THE SKILLS, DANG IT.

Winter Winds

It's been so long since I've posted, and I don't mean for that to happen, just kinda does. As you guys know, I have like a crapton of health issues, so it's hard for me to balance designing, blogging, and my own health at times, but! Allons-y! I feel like there's way too much to recap, and lots of inventory to go through! How in the heck did I get over 80k items while I was gone!? Busy designers be busy. That, and I don't even want to try to do a search for "poly" in that mess. Nope.

So first off, the fabulous Aime bunny lady from Mish Mish made a gorgeous jewelry box for this round of Collab, and it actually has songs and it spins and everything, and at the other side it has this cute little ring, I'm just.. so in love it's not even funny. Then you have the fab Andel Rhiadra from A.D.D Andel that made these gorgeous winter candles, and since I didn't post in December, I felt like I could bring them in and tie the whole winter theme together, along with the shrubble.. well, not shrubble, but I shall call it my shrubble and it shall be mine forever because.. the first thing that I knew from Mish Mish was the shrubble, and now they have a snow version of it that you can sit on (big) and the small one, for travel size, and bed time, of course.

One of the best things about being a designer, I have to say, is that you can make the things that you want. Like.. No secret that I'm a huge Doctor Who fan, so for a VIP gift for Wimey, I made the bracelet. "Neither Cruel, nor Cowardly. Never give up, never give in". I have got to say that was one of the best Doctor Who quotes ever. So, I put it in a bracelet, silver, for free, just 100L to join the VIP group for future discount, news, and what not. Ison now has mesh eyes, available in Fameshed, and I'm totally in love. And let's not forget the new hair by the fabulous, unique Bubbles Clawtooth from Clawtooth, which will be in the mainstore soon, and was in the last round of Collabor88.

So Collab just opened, and this round left me.. well.. in shock! First off.. league is in there.. like.. can we all squeal, even if it's just a little bit? I didn't expect that one, huge shocker for me, and I couldn't be happier! That is just too awesome. They have this amazing little sweater dress with a color changing HUD belt thing that is jsut to die for.. like.. a fall must have, and Milk Motion? This over the top cape with the little hat/beanie/whatever the heck you want to call it. Yeah. Adore. But what really shocked me was that Belleza was there. Now, now.. don't be hating on me, but.. well.. how to put this and not make it sound bad because I'm half asleep? This round actually had a lot of new designers in it, that I really didn't expect, but with that they took away some of my favorite ones, and left some that I'm still scratching my head as to the reason why they're there, (Then again, personal taste has a lot to do with it I suppose) But.. all  of that aside, I was just rather shocked to see Belleza there, and pleasantly so when I saw this cute little skin there for only  188L.

Now, I'm THE pickiest person when it comes to skins, Birdy? I find it lacks definition in the skin, and sometimes it's got a weird shade to it, I don't even know how to explain it. Glam Affair? Too soft for my taste, and I find that a lot of her skins look the same, even though she's one of my favorite skin makers. Sue me, I have never been a huge Pink Fuel fan. And Skinnery? Nope. The Store? I actually don't know what people find so fascinating about this skin, and Lelutka? Love the hairs, their skins look weird to me around the bewbies. So.. yeah... Tell me a store, I can point out the flaws in their skins, there are few skins that have been a total hit with me, some are from Essences, no doubt, some from Glam Affair, and some from League. But... this?

I tried it on because SL kept eating my money, and I drooled a little, Shyla, you have outdone yourself with this skin, simple, soft and adorable. My one complain? Your HUD for the hands. I got a little frustrated at having to try to find which hand applier fit to it, but other than that, this is flawless. Love.

It's a New Dawn, It's a New Life Day, It's a New Life, For Me

And I'm feeling good!

So I'll admit, today I was very lazy with the editing. Don't hate me, I wanted something just simple and quick so that I could get this out to you, and work on a major post that I have. Two actually. I havent' done home blogging in a while, but really they take sooo long. But.. well, while I have those two in the works, I really didn't want to stop with the flow of the blog that i have going on currently, I really do want to try to blog daily, minus the days where I'm hospitalized, and another is coming because I have to get surgery. Welp. So that's why I'm trying to blog as often as I can! So.. today I have just a quick LOTD.

First off, I love this dress by E! I really do love her stuff, I found her through fameshed, and absolutely fell in love, but this little number.. well, I couldn't get it off. I wanted to do a very casual safari look for it, since.. well, the team for it was safari! I paired it off with a feathery hair that I love from Taketomi, a new release by Atooly, because... you all know that I do love them headbands, and some League wear and accessories that helped the look all around. Just because you're going hunting, doesn't mean you can't do it in style!

Disneybound: Daisy!

Just for the record, Daisy has got to be one of my least favorite Disney characters. She's so.... urgh, I don't even know how to describe it but like.. she's so naggy,I really really hate her. But.. Nat made the challenge, and I answered, okay?! Can't hate on me for doing it, it was hard, but.. well, there it is, Daisy and crap. I really hard a hard time finding something to go over the dress that was purlple and i liked it. Probably because I hate the color purple too. God, poor Daisy, I'm just bashing on her, and I'm probably getting a lot of Daisy lovers hating me right now but.. you have to admit, she's a biotch! What was Walt thinking!?

Anyways, I dug in the depths of my inventory, and had a back in time experience. I had a good friend in SL that left, and I got sad face. She owned Fishy Strawberry, and.. I miss her. We used to have so much fun together! Our children! Think of the children! But anyways, I'm still very happy thinking that she has moved on to better things in life, but.. I still think abut her every now and then, and well, with that.. I had to use this coat, I paired it off with pink and white shoes from a past Collabor88 season,and the mon tissu white dress, and.. of course, pearls. The skin is still from the same whisper pack.. this time in Anime color! I actually like it, it is pale, but it has a pink subtle tone that I love. So.. that's about it, Disneybound as Daisy. :/

Disneybound: Dumbo!

So I've always loved Disneybound, but with everything going on, I've kind of put it in the back burner, I hate to say it, but.. no more! I did a disneybound you guys! I decided to do Dumbo this week, because.. he's so adorable, and who doesn't love a flying elephant, like.. it's the most adorable thing ever! It was kind of easy, to be honest, I mean, color scheme is gray, red and yellow, mostly gray. Maybe I took it too literal, but.. oh well, I still love the outfit, thought it was something maybe different from teh direction that a lot of people went. I did use the elephant necklace though to just tie the whole theme of Dumbo into it, and I used Kuzco's bow, from Noodle's last arcade round, to finish off the scheme. It's a cheat, I know, but it worked really well, even if it was meant for another character! Anyways, on to the credits! After not sleeping for two days, it feels a little odd to like.. finally write or something, I still need coffee!

Youth Without Youth

Sooooo... I have a giant pencil, whatever argument you might have is invalid. Yup. So.. Arcade is almost upon us.. and I wanted to do a huge post, but.. for the last two days I've been working hard on the way the blog looks.. and I finally got done today. But.. it meant this post had to suffer a little. I have another picture that I will edit later when I wake up, and I have another shot with some awesome goodies to do pretty soon. Olive has some AMAZING stuff. It's pretty random, but for us that are odd, and ecclectic.. I mean.. giant pencil, poop mobile? Need I say more? Further more.. it's all just so cute, and they have fez lamps. Fezzes are cool. So, I wanted to do something cute for today, and this is just an adorable little look I compose together.. ChiMia is a new store on the blog, and they're textures are pretty cool! Exciting news! Big huge exciting news! Truth has new stuff, and even though they're getting rid of truth district, which is a shame... really, like.. where the heck are we supposed to shop from next when he's having a sale?! Lately I've been obsessed with this song. Don't hate, I get my fevers, and being around one of my best friends, well, I can't help but sing Disney all the time. She inspires me. So, today, I finally bought two things I really wanted. The Zaara dress, and the Slink eyelids. I know.. I know.. I'm slow, but damnit! Girls have budgets! And forgetful minds when shiny lindens come her way! But still, I put a cute little look together, and blogged it, I wanted it to be more like being in the wind, and relaxed.. serene, I have to admit, the lids and the dress really inspired me. So.. My Inner Ears Must Be Showing!

Not only are my ears showing, but.. my inner child must be begging to come out! Oh well, such is life, I suppose. I can't get enough Disney Bounding, and while waiting rather impatiently for Collabor88 with friends of mine taunting me about it, I decided I would say a big f u to them, and instead of sitting down in a corner, rocking myself while sobbing impatiently for Collab to open, I would get my inner Mickey on, and show them. And so I did! Ears and all. And with this, I guess I should catch up with my haiku challenge from Berry, right? So.. I was a little slow this week with Disneybound.. but.. don't hate on me! I've been through a lot this week, that, and it's partner's week for Disneybound! Aladdin and Jasmine. I love this movie, one of the ones that I used to watch in repeat when I was a kid. You know.. when we still had the bulky VHS, and would play, rewind like a million and one times. Yup. That was me, singing along, and yelling at Jafar. And cry with the Genie.. Ah childhood, how I miss thee. So.. of course I had to get my Aladdin, it wasn't an option to have anything but the magic carpet ride. Nope. So I nagged one of my best friends, James Matfield into doing this shoot with me, and the results.. well, I love them. Through a couple of days of planning and trying to get free time together, we finally did it! I hope you like this week's Disneybound challenge, I know I can't wait for next week. And Natalee.. I'm still waiting for something to do with Sleeping Beauty. I swear I'm about to throw a major fit here, woman!

King of the World

Fameshed is one year old guys! Doesn't that make you feel old? I know it does for me... Oh, well! Cute stuff be around every corner, and I'll be blogging more about it as time goes by, I'm sure, but I wanted to start with this little dress from Lenox. It feels like it has been forever since they came up with something! The 1991 Dress for Fameshed is completely adorable, and it comes in red, pink, blue, purple and cream. I feel like I don't  wear enough red in my life, and I do love me some red.. so, I put it on, pumped it up with some pumps.. and.. omg.. look at the draping of the skirt part, I'm so swoon with this dress, complete love! Makes me feel like a little queen, or.. like the song says.. I'm the ****** king of the world!

So.. I totally love the Doctor, and I've always wanted to do some sort of shot with something Doctor related. I could have done the tardis.. but.. a Dalek army was so much better. EXTERMINATE!

So, anyways, more new stuff from R3VOLT. This cute jacket comes in three versions, and it even has a belt on it I didn't care much for the belt, personally, but I totally loved the jacket in black with the white straps. I paired it off with just a simple look, shorts, heels, and kept it classy and sexy, and with a sort of military flair to it.

Still melancholic. Deal with it. At least I'm giving awesome posts still, right?! So... newness! I am so picky about jeans in second life, specially mesh ones. Some make your legs look like twigs, others are bow legged, and it makes me so angry I normally just wear clothes layer jeans, but.. facella has new mesh jeans that are perfect! Totally love them. And if you haven't gotten this sweater by Tee*fy in collabor88, you need to get it before it goes out! The jewelry, you have until the 3rd to get it guys! the necklace is from Noodles' Bees through the season, and it comes with a matching Crown and matching earrings. The bow is just too cute, also from noodles. And the bracelet... I always did say I loved that bracelet. And of course I'm still wearing my flip flops, I don't think I'll ever be taking them off. The Girl I Want To Be

Lately I've been feeling melancholic guys, partially might be because of the date and how close it is to my daughter's birthday, or it could be a mix of that and what's going on currently in my life. But right now.. I don't feel like I'm no longer the person I wanna be. I've got a picture of the girl I wanna be, dancing around in my head. Sad song, lovely, and really sums up how I feel right now.

Anywho, I'm still head over heels with this cuff from epoque. I don't know, I don't think I've actually taken it off since I bought it, oh well. I'll wash it. The Gos flip flops are seriously a must guys, I wear flip flops in RL all the time, so for me this is just.. amazeballs. There's a new release from R3VOLT again, they've got releases like.. more than one a day, crazy! But I love this strappy top, and it's fully costumizeable, the traps, the rings, all that changes is the black bands, totally love. The hair is ploom, and only 95L at The Deck this round, make sure to get it while you can!

SL Disney Bounding- YOU THREW OFF MY GROOVE!

So, SL Bounding continues, this week's challenge - Kuzco. Boom, baby! Boo-yeah! I so freaking love this movie! So.. I started to struggle with this one some.. how can you make it hot, fun, and free spirited? Difficult challenge indeed. I started with the color palette, the turquoise, gold, and red, and black. Started with the hair because.. it's the easiest thing in there. So this is Exile, love them. Then I decided.. try every dress! The one that had the flair that I was going for is by milk motion, past Dressing Room Fusion item, in red, of course! It just had the long feel to it, the emperor commanding style.. settled for sandals.. well.. somewhat.. by Gos, and the jewelry is a mix of Zaara and Epoque, coordinated in Kuzco's color theme.  I can't wait for next week's challenge !So psyched!

God I'm in a Jack White mood, and this song.. so lovely for this look. She does what she pleases, cus she's got freedom in the 21st century! Hopefully you don't cut the balls of the feet and make them walk on salt though!
I'm still exploring with photoshop, and having some fun with it. I'm starting to get the hang of it now! Hooray! So.. I decided to go for a normal, short and sweet LOTD for today. First off, I'm loving the stuff by r3volt. I'm normally very conservative, but with a new character, new tastes, and.. God I love this studed bra! Lace, and studs. How much sexier can you get? I have Jeans  from Mon Tissu, as well as their boots, the cuff by epoque, which I seriously love, specially the cross style pattern on it. And.. I h ad to use these wings for something, they're by Remarkable Oblivion, and I saw them on a close friend, and I just had to have them. Love them! I also thought it was as good of a time as any to start these blogger challenge meme things.. I always mean to do them, but I forget.. so.. here we go! This is why I blog!

Why did you start?

I had a couple people around me blogging, and I was learning photoshop. Thought it was a good way to meet new people, share my design styles, learn how to work photoshop, and.. have fun. 

How many times a week do you post an entry?
I try to do it daily, obviously, sometimes it's impossible, but I do try. 

How many different blogs do you read on a regular basis?All the time, I read StyleMinions, Strawberry's, I read the ones that come up on Plurk, I ready the syndicates.. yeah.. I'm a dork. 

Do you comment on other people’s blogs?I'm so shy about that! Only when I have something serious to say! I'm honestly like.. uber shy, so it's hard for me to break out of my shell at times. Heck, I just managed to do so in Plurk, to be able to be a confident blogger.. that's going to take a while guys! 

Do you keep track of how many visitors you have?
I do, it gives me a giddy feeling that what I do seriously matters and others appreciate it. 

Did you ever regret a post that you wrote?
No. I regret the pictures though! Like.. looking back at my progress, I just want to be like.. God.. did I seriously think that looked good?

Do you think your readers have a true sense of who you are based on your blog?
I think so. I try to be myself at all times, I mean.. no use on hiding that, right? But it's weird because written words don't always come out how you mean them. 

Do you blog under your real name?
I only blog under my SL name, which is close to my rl one.. First name only, but still. 

Are there topics that you would never blog about?
If I don't like it, I don't blog it. Sorry guys! I know you all worked hard on it, but.. this is a reflection of my personal style and my taste, not only an advertising machine. 

What is the theme/topic of your blog?
Fashion! 

Do you have more than one blog? If so, why?
Nope, just this one! But I also write for the metaverse tribune! 

What have you found to be the benefits of blogging?

There's the obvious ones, of course.. Like you do get some nice stuff sometimes from kind designers, but I think the biggest perk for me has been to force myself out of my shy exterior and open myself more to the world of SL, meet new people that I would never have had the courage to speak with, and there's also the fact that every day I'm growing and learning as style is concerned, as well as my photography skills. 

So, why do you continue to blog?
Because I love it, and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Can You Free Me From This World?

Yay! New house. I've come out of my shell a lot lately, thanks to Plurk, and I met some wonderful people, and to all of you that I've met <3. I started this journey of blogging in order to meet new people, share ideas, and broaden the fun in Second Life that I can have, as well as trying to learn how to photoshop. I'm still learning, and I've met some wonderful people. To all of you, thanks! You've made this journey possible, and amazing.

So.. new stuff.. the boots are from R3VOLT, and they're awesome! I love the legwarmers fad that is going around, and the cute little buttons at the side.. Just love the design, and the construction of them, very well done. I also am wearing an older release from Dollle, the micro skirt, and i paired it off to go for a playful cute look with whippet and bucket tank top, which is only 50L, and an old release from fri.day, like.. way old, which is for sale in the back of the store. Old, and not mesh, but still adorable!
