Winter Winds

It's been so long since I've posted, and I don't mean for that to happen, just kinda does. As you guys know, I have like a crapton of health issues, so it's hard for me to balance designing, blogging, and my own health at times, but! Allons-y! I feel like there's way too much to recap, and lots of inventory to go through! How in the heck did I get over 80k items while I was gone!? Busy designers be busy. That, and I don't even want to try to do a search for "poly" in that mess. Nope.

So first off, the fabulous Aime bunny lady from Mish Mish made a gorgeous jewelry box for this round of Collab, and it actually has songs and it spins and everything, and at the other side it has this cute little ring, I'm just.. so in love it's not even funny. Then you have the fab Andel Rhiadra from A.D.D Andel that made these gorgeous winter candles, and since I didn't post in December, I felt like I could bring them in and tie the whole winter theme together, along with the shrubble.. well, not shrubble, but I shall call it my shrubble and it shall be mine forever because.. the first thing that I knew from Mish Mish was the shrubble, and now they have a snow version of it that you can sit on (big) and the small one, for travel size, and bed time, of course.

One of the best things about being a designer, I have to say, is that you can make the things that you want. Like.. No secret that I'm a huge Doctor Who fan, so for a VIP gift for Wimey, I made the bracelet. "Neither Cruel, nor Cowardly. Never give up, never give in". I have got to say that was one of the best Doctor Who quotes ever. So, I put it in a bracelet, silver, for free, just 100L to join the VIP group for future discount, news, and what not. Ison now has mesh eyes, available in Fameshed, and I'm totally in love. And let's not forget the new hair by the fabulous, unique Bubbles Clawtooth from Clawtooth, which will be in the mainstore soon, and was in the last round of Collabor88.

Slytherin' Up with a 42.

So it really shouldn't be a surprise that I love anything and everything Harry Potter. But.. well.. I should seriously change that. I don't love Harry Potter. I love the Death Eaters, and Voldemort, and the Malfoys, and Slytherin. So with school starting up, and also Mischief Managed about to start a new school year, I decided to do a small Slytherin look for my blog today, because.. I mean, why wouldn't I?

One of my favorite activities in Second Life is roleplaying. Before I got into blogging, and before I started to try to be a wanna be builder, all I did was roleplay. This goes back like.. Oh God guys.. 2006? I started out in Gor, like a lot of people, and then started moving towards either Hogwarts sims, or Urban sims. I still remember my first Hogwarts, with Harry Prefect and Darcy Ruthledge as owners. I met some amazing people there that I still keep in contact.. at times, I have to admit, I'm so shy at times I don't, but! I still keep in touch and love them, and have very fund memories of them. Now, I find myself in an awesome Hogwarts inspired sim, that is just so breath taking and well built, I guess it would be the closest thing to being in Hogwarts for real. I adore this sim, and I actually can't wait to be a part of the new school year! I'm going to be around amazing friends, new and old, and I think it's going to be fantastic. 

So.. I guess this ties in with the group meme that Berry posted this week, because as a blogger, wanna be builder, and a role player, juggling group spots is sooo hard! So I thought I'd give a crack at the meme this week. Here we go!

1. Have you reached the 42 group limit? Yup. All the time, regardless how many times I try to clean up! Welp.
2. Do you do a lot of group hopping to keep up with all the groups you want to stay a part of? Yup, it's the only way to try to be able to manage them, really.
3. What makes you want to join a group? Either they have to be a designer that I completely and totally love, a roleplay community I'm very active in, or blogger groups. With designers moving to subscriber style things that send you the item instead of you having to join a group it's starting to become easier to manage. Still though.. designers that don't use this system- PLEASE DO! Kay? Kay. I am so glad we had this talk.
4. A lot of store VIP groups have a group fee which you have to pay to join. How do you feel about paying group fees? I'm not a huge fan of group fees either. Though.. i guess.. at very few places it's worth it. The only two groups that I've joined that have group fees are Auxiliary, Mon Tissu, and Gos. The only reason is because the benefits surely do outweigh the cost. Though I'm starting to double thing about Mon Tissu, that was a hefty joining fee, and very little for it, I'll be honest. 
5. Name a few groups that you are a part of that you feel everyone should look into joining and share your reasons behind that.
   –>Mischief Managed - why? Because Harry Potter. Need I say more? I've always wanted to embark in my own Hogwarts story, and I finally get the chance to do it, so.. if you're an uber Harry Potter fan like I am.. join! But keep in mind.. Slytherin are the only cool people. If you're not Slytherin, you're really not part of the cool group. Specially if you're a badger. LOOKING AT YOU SCARLET CHANDRAYAAN!
   –> Auxiliary VIP group. You get free gifts often, and even though you have to pay a joining fee, Tyr and Ivy's designs are amazing. Love them.
   –> Noodles VIP group. Because.. Nat is an amazing jewelery designer, and she gives store credit for your purchases if you're wearing your VIP tag, and free group gifts. Just for a small joining fee. So of course it's worth joining!
   –> SLBlogger support if you're a blogger is a must! You get to keep up with the community and what's going on, and there's always someone there if you have questions, and they have a nifty little website that keeps up with everything blogger. Love that group.

I feel like I haven't blogged in forever! So I wanted to do something brief, I've just been getting into so many shenanigans lately it's hard to keep up with it all! I'm starting to work on mesh more, so that means my work here has been suffering, and with mesh comes stress, and with stress comes a destressant or something, which has been hanging around Inka, who will now be writing with us here in the blog! HOORAY for that! I'm actually uber exciter for Inka joining in here and being my blogging partner, and just.. partner in everything, I love that girl's face, and i've also been rp'ing a little.. but.. never the less, I decided to share some more new goodies, some from collab, others are old things, others are just.. I love them and you'll have to deal okay? Good. 

So Lelutka, new hair, and it comes with a hat.. obviously the hat didn't go with the outfit, but I totally loved the hair, it has a very free flowing form, and even though the picture /is/highly/edited/ the hair is for sure worth going over and demo'ing it. I mean.. comes with a hat, come on! Then I totally love this suit from Ison.. it's totally adorable, and just.. so mainly in a feminine manner, I love the draping work and just.. amazing work. Then.. we have fri.day who re released a couple of heels of hers, and I'm just totally in love, I'm loving slink add on shoes now, guys, I thought I wouldn't but.. I have to admit, the look of them is just amazing. So.. that brings us to accessories, LaGyo is one of my favorite places for jewelry, it's eccentric, high fashion, and just me, and it's also affordable, this set, the one with the cuff, actually comes with an HUD that allows you to change the color of the pieces so you can match your cuff to the outfit, or just make a color palette that you enjoy. The tattoo is new, from Tenjin for the Acid Lily event, which basically is all new, and has a new line up, and I'm uber excited. The tattoo is in a mesh sleeve, so you don't have to have it repeat in both arms, I kind of loved that, to be honest, and it also has the tattoo option if you want it repeating. Finally we have accessories by Remarkable Oblivion, whom I love, duh! I believe the headband is free in a group gift, if you join the group, though it might have been taken down.. you'll have to check, but the group is free to join! That's it for today guys! So, I decided to redo my av.. again. Mainly because I'm really in love at the moment with the Cho skin from essences. Inka is right, the cute little button nose is just to die for, and the lips in the Collabor88 pack, and the soft feel to it.. yeah.. okay Inka, you got me, I'm totally freaking in love this this skin, and I never want to take it off. Darn you. Still love you though. So.. yeah.. for now this will be my new av. Also, there was a new release by r3volt today, this lovely jacket with an HUD to change the color of it, and it's just amazing.. to be hnest, I kept it black because.. well.. I wanted a rocker feel to it.. but.. when I saw this jacket it made me want to get a tank top on, some jeans, and go for a ride.. in my epic scooter of epicness. Yes.. I'll admit. I rode the scooter in my platform, and again, forgot everything, and fell down to the sim, to this spot that I took the picture on. Welp. It's awesome really Libby and Nat are doing an amazing job in the sim, and I should really work on the house but.. I've been a total slacker, but anyways.. if you haven't seen this little building behind my really awesomely badass av, it's by MishMish! My little lovely bunny made it, and it's only 11 land impact, low lag, very simple, but the perfect piece for your land, it was for food fair, but if it's not in her mainstore by now, it should be soon! Make sure to grab it, the building is really a simple cute adorable little thing that you never really know when it will become handy.. besides, like.. 11 land impact guys, that's like.. a steal in prims for such a cute little thing. So.. make sure to grab it, and give Aime plenty of carrots, I hear she likes that.

Disneybounding: Princess Aurora!

Growing up, Sleeping Beauty has always been one of my favorite movies. Though.. I'll be honest, it wasn't for Aurora, it was the pink and blue fairy, AND Maleficent. I know it sounds weird, but I've always been captivated by Maleficent's character. Younger, I was afraid of her. Like.. that scene with Aurora following the green wisp of light along the corridor.. the music, all of it, it was just.. so eerie. I used to cry in that scene every time. Literally, just.. petrified of it. But then I started to grow up, and I started admiring the work that Disney did on her, the fact that Maleficent was just.. evil. Pure evil. I mean.. you go to Disney, when you watch the Fantasmic! show in Disneyworld... they use her almost as the queen of evil.. darker and more sinister than the Evil Queen herself. Which.. let's face it, she wasn't that evil, she was just vain to the point of insanity really. But Maleficent.. just.. everything about her screamed evil. I loved it. And now with the new movie coming out.. like.. I really hope they don't ruin that. I love her as she is. 

Anyways, the challenge is Aurora. And I wanted to do the mix up of the two fairies. You probably remember how they used to battle each other to turn the dress into pink or blue.. ending up in something like this: 

So.. I mused for days on how to do this, I wanted to do a dress, and then mix it like that in photoshop.. But.. that wasn't the challenge. So.. I figured it out. I had to include both colors in it! It wasn't a choice about pink or blue.. it was merging the two of them into one look. Anyways, I grabbed the top from one of the newer stores in grid, well, making a come back really - okkbye, which I absolutely love. I don't really like bright pink, so the fact that it was soft and sweet was perfect for me, added a headband from Lark, since I didn't have the right tiara for her, and just.. used the Snow white at hand to give it a little bit more of modern edge/attitude. And finished it off with the blue theme with jeans from Maitreya! The end result was a more modern and relaxed Aurora look that looks casual enough to pull off, and well.. still eludes to all the stuff from the movie, one of my favorite parts anyways. Enjoy!

So... another week in the hospital, this is getting really old, but I'm finally back. Well, been back since yesterday, just took me a little because I really really wanted to do something good for this post! And I'm actually pretty happy. A lot of things have been happening. For one, HAIR FAIR. I love hair fair, and I was lucky enough to have one of my works selected to be displayed guys! And even though I didn't get to use my early pass for either hair fair bloggers, or my early pass for winning runner up, I am still so happy and humbled to be selected for both, so thanks to the Hair fair theme. And I still managed to shop.. over 20K worth in hair, trust, I'm a shopaholic when it comes to hair, but.. it's worth it guys, a percentage of your sales goes to Wigs for Kids, which also helps other kids with cancer .. well, have wigs! So I love this organization, and I have no problem on dropping a lot of cash to support! Make sure to go and check out Hair Fair this year. It's built in LEGOS. And it's amazing, they outdid themselves. Shame Truth wasn't there, and I don't even wanna know the story, so gossip starters, don't even! I also checked out collab, and that's where the rest of my linden went. Wops. But.. well, Aime actually gave me these cute little fairies, they're so adorable, and they make me cry every time I detach them.. because Aime is a very evil bunny filled with cuteness. I just can't. I wanted to do a follow through the forest kind of theme, reminds me a little of Sleeping Beauty.. following the glowing light to her doom! Except.. they're good fairies... I hope! So I also went to Maitreya and got the jeans.. because.. Maitreya has a sale, and they have the best jeans in grid, so I had to fat pack! All in all, a lot of shopping.

Oh.. yeah.. this skin? The newness of essences. It's so soft and adorable, Cho is a must if you are going for more of a youthful/soft look, or Asian. I went for youthful. And also, a plurker friend sent me these a long time ago, but.. I've been bad! So much going on, but.. doctor who nails. I'm a huuuuge fan of Doctor Who, so.. .yeah, I'm rocking these pretty often. I feel like such a slacker, I haven't done this in forever it feels like.. two weeks, I might go back and redo them some time when I have time and I'm not feeling well, like I'll more than likely rework this picture because I'm not fully happy with it, but I'm sooooo dead right now all I want to do is lay down in my bed and pass out. However.. MUST WORK! I mean.. Smee, he's one of my favorite characters in Disney, basically because he's cute, and chubby, and a funny villain. He, in my opinion, is the reason why Peter Pan is so great! Him and the freaking crocodile, I loved Hook's reactions to hearing him. His style is very easy to translate into a wardrobe, luckily, all you need is blue stripes, comfortable shoes, and a red beanie! So I decided for this amazing dress from NYU, it has to be my favorite piece of this store by far, and it's saying a lot because they have so many great things. I also got the dorkiest glasses I could find because they're so adorable, and as far as the hair goes.. I know it's old and sculpted, but.. it has my RL and SL name on it, so I've never been able to rid it, and I'm so glad I didn't! Look at how amazing it is, and completes the outfit quite lovely. Guess What Time It Is?

Yup, it's Disneybounding time! Brave style!

I freaking love this movie! I love Merida's feisty attitude, and the whole plot about bonding with the mother.. Tears, I tell you! TEARS! So, I decided to make a small post today inspired by the amazing Merida, and one of my favorite quotes of all time by Disney- so strong and powerful.   So anyways, The look is a little more whimsical than hers, because.. I'm in love with this set by Noodles, the daisy grown and necklace, and the pose fits really well, oldie from the zodiac by hopscotch. Pants are similar to those by Maitreya, but they're actually Blueberry. Now.. normally I'm a huge fan of anything Maitreya, but.. to be honest, I didn't like her version of the pants.. I do love these though, they have the zipper in the actual mesh map, which.. <3 and the detail of the folds in them, just total love on how they were made. Top is an oldie by Somnia. Enjoy!

I love this song. Hate the movie, and I know there will be haters, but I totally love this song. And I hate Taylor Swift too, but I love Civil Wars. The band that is. Any who!  Newness! It's been a while. I know. Real life and Second Life both have been kicking my ass. Inspiration was gone, and I struggled a bit to find my ground again, but.. fear not! I'm back, and bringing in the fashion and awesomeness all over again. Once in fashion, and soon to be seen.

So, enough with the crap, let's get right into it, because.. I think I might have lost my voice again. But.. my fashion tastes is still full gear, and full out. Have you guys checked out Maitreya as of recently? Dear God, I'm totally in love with this dress. So simple, so sexy, and so much statement in one piece, I'm completely head over heels with it. Also, new, is this skin by Maitreya, for the skin fair. I'm loving it. I'm a huuuge fan of Maitreya, and after feeling like someone looked like a clone of me, I had to do something drastic. After buying.. I believe.. 20 skins? I finally found one that totally fits me, and rocks! And finally, in newness news, these shoes by Gos Boutique. I'm a huge fan of Gos boutique. I do love prim feet, really, but one of my pet peeves was always trying to match it to the skin. It's amazing that someone finally heard us out, and created an easy system that has the major skins in sl one clique away, just.. log to your site, pick the skin, and voila, it's all matched for you. No pain, no headaches. No raging. And these shoes.. seriously.. so sexy.

So, I wanted to create a very effortless rock chick look. Classy, sexy, and still looks like you can rock it. I loved the Ariel hairstyle from Lelutka, because.. even though it's from their fairy tale collection, it still looks like you're about to rock some socks off. The bracelet is by Noodles, and I'm sorry, I'm never taking it off. I love it, and it took forever to complete it, and it's by far my favorite piece of jewelry ever. Because I'm a dork. You can try your lock at the Arcade to get all the charms for this amazing little piece! Leggings are the half legging, half leather leggings from Milk motion. I always wanted to have a good outfit to rock them out with, since they're so edgy, and in this outfit, it fits like a glove. Finally added the edgier piece of Maxi Gossamer collection in my inventory, and what you have is this. Badass, but classy. Totally love this.

Despite the hardships of life, and the difficulties, forgive, move on, and follow your partner to the ends of the earth. My husband and I have been married for two years, and though recently he did break my heart, and doubts still flood my mind, I have no hesitation when I say that to the ends of the world I would follow him. No one knows me like he does. He has made me grow, and inspires me to try to fix myself day at a time. It's because of him that I have been able to deal with the pain that losing my daughter caused, and it's because of him that I still live. So today, I ask you, my dear readers. Love is in the air, and I do love me some of the things that Acid Lily brings forth. I have to admit, as time passes, the quality of the designers is beginning to up. That's one of the things that I enjoy about events such as this, new designers come, and you get to see some new talent, and discover it before it reaches the big leagues and the big names of Second Life. One of the newest additions, which I have to say I have nothing but love thus far, and will be keeping an eye out for the future, is Cake. I love cake, so.. with the name alone it got me. This top is so basic, but adorable at the same time, and they also have this cute dress that I hope I do get time to blog, and honestly.. though it's simple, and looks like it's not much, I'm simply in love with their style.

I paired it off with a jacket by Wunderland, and their jeans, I do believe that a huge thing about making a simple piece speak, and add character to it, is layering! So this jacket added just what it needed, and to give it a simple out and about look I added one of their new releases, some simple gray jeans to it. And I am also wearing it with flat boots. I honestly just wanted a causal  and lovely feel to it to add to the simplicity and beauty to today's love theme.

It's a Beautiful Day

Even though I'm sick, and have been sleeping pretty much the whole day due to the vast amount of drugs that I've been pumping into my system, I can't help but to repeat this song in my head as I finally seem to have woken up. It's a beautiful day. And in all honesty, why not? I think it's about time that I start being thankful for yet another beautiful day that I get to live, and not complaining about my current health. It's a beautiful day. Besides. Collabor88 opens in a couple hours, right? That alone is reason to celebrate.

But what better way to celebrate this revelation that with a new skin? Adam and Eve have this gorgeous little number now available in stores. I have to say, those dimple tattoo layers seriously got me, and the freckles? To die for. The level of detail in the new Siobah skin is really superb. I only have one complain, and one alone, the fact that the blonde eyebrows are soooo light. Since I'm a dark blonde, they really didn't go well along with my usual hair style, however.. for this skin, I'd go brunette in a heart beat, and that's exactly what I did. The Siobah skin comes in five different shades, from pale to very tanned, I'm actually wearing right now the T3 skin, which is right in the middle of the arrays, and it also comes in six different make up styles. Single skin for 949L and the skin fat pack of that shade for 2,900L. Definitely worth every penny for this level of detailing.

In other news, American Bazaar is participating in the New Year, New Style hunt, where they actually a gift for both men and women, right now I'm wearing the women gift (duh), and it's quite adorable. It's a cute little red dress with a brown belt around it. It might be a little too shiny in the texture for some, but for me, it was quite alright, I rather liked the styling of it. I paried it off with brown myself, though it looks good with black too, just to play off the belt that adorns the dress a little more. Since in my opinion, there was a little lack of patterns there, I added the Chantkare Khrysler tights in brown, and finished it off with boots by Maitreya. For accessories, I added the new Anuuka beads and Ethiopian cross set by Maxi Gossamer, which is currently available at fameshed.

I effing love new releases! And these two stores are some of my favorites on the grid. So.. check it!

It's been forever since Maitreya came out with something new, and well.. I've been very very very sad about this, but! I got a group notice, and it left my mouth watering with beautyfulness. Yes, I'm aware that's not a word, but it is in Sash's world. Either way, I was left with my mouth watering over this beautiful dress that just screams fall to me. It's casual, and it can also be worn with a pair of jeans to make it look more like a shirt, or you can also just wear it as a dress with a belt.. really, there is no limit on what you can do with this to make it your own, and to me, that's the best thing you can have in a piece of clothing, the capability to be versatile  Get the most out of your money. Let's face it.. in Sl, we change often, specially when it comes to personal style, the fact that you can grab a piece and transfer it from x look to the next.. it's always a plus.

In other news.. Truth.. What can I say about Truth that I haven't already? Their mesh textures are to die for. Dying. Dying. Yup, I love the work truth has brought to the table lately, and they came out with three new styles that I'm a huge fan of. So, here they are for your personal enjoyment.

Good Grief Charlie Brown! And more TDRB Goodies

I just love Fridays, because there are so many things you can get, and for low prices too!

So, let's start with Fi*Fridays, they have some pretty good selections out this week, but by far, my favorite were the shirts by Reckless Ambitions, they have one for all my childhood favorites, Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold!, Beetlejuice, and Charlie Brown.. but, I'm sorry to say, I had to go with Charlie Brown on this one.. sure, I'm a freak for all of them, and a total dork about them all, I mean, who doesn't miss Helga and Arnold! That bubblegum statue of the football head! Love! And Tim Burton... Yeah, but nothing says to me Halloween like Charlie Brown, and their little sweater shirt was the perfect thing to celebrate Halloween. Paired with the Jeans from TokiD for TDR Blue, which are amazing cus you can pair them with boots and not have any of the jeans poking out.. well, the look was to die for!

Now, TDR Blue also had this little corset that I fell in love with from Baiastice, which is one of my favorite stores. It has a lovely little pattern, and it comes with the matching collar, which gives for a very sexy cute look for this Halloween, of course with a little sophisticated air that I love about Baiastice.

All in all, a great Friday, I'd say, lots of new goodies, and it didn't put a huge dent into my wallet! From casual to elegant, gotta love this Friday.

But my favorite was this little Mexican style dress for only 50L. AND MESH. And did I mention it was pretty? Normally I'm not much of the boho chic type gal, but seriously, this was too cute to pass out on, so I got it, along with other couple things. But my favorite so far is really that little Mexican style dress that I paired with some jeans and some boots, and a little more.. indy type hair style.. Result? Adorable.

Monday Morning is Tea Time

So, here I am in sl, wondering what, oh what, will I blog today? SO I hear of a little hunt going on, The Autumn Hunt, and I start checking out the stores. I go down the list of the stores, checking them out, one my one, until I stumble upon a little gem called *Tea Time*.

And oh, how joyous I was! I'll be honest, I had never heard of Tea Time until today, and I'm very sadface at this fact, because their stuff is amazing! Not only that but they have a VIP group, you join for 25L, and they have group gifts, and a monthly group gift. HOLY COWS!

So, of course, I'm going to blog about this little hidden gem, because it was truly amazing. I have a couple of the group gifts on, the jeans, and the bag, and the shirt is only 5L on the Autumn Hunt, which I'll be blogging more about lately.
