In Retrospective

Pardon the half way done picture. But.. well..... long week, and I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings.

It's been an insane week! If you would have told me last month that all of this was going to happen, I wouldn't have believed it. Hell, I still kind of don't. It's been surreal, making things, actually selling, seeing bloggers whose work I enjoy actually blogging and enjoying my things. There's been tears, and a lot of happiness. And to believe that a month ago I couldn't build if I didn't follow a tutorial. Not to say I don't look things up still or ask for help, but.. the growth this week alone has been huge. I owe a lot of people for that, and I also have to thank Inka for giving me the chance to go in this journey with her.

With Candy Fair over, and starting out with Wizarding Fair tomorrow at noon, and nothing else to build, I have to breath. It's been a madhouse trying to learn all of this, dealing with my health issues, actually being hospitalized for a good portion of this time, and then.. culminating on this. Just.Wow. I can't believe I even got the honor to be a part of FLF this week. Can you talk about lucky?! So, I guess I have to say thank you to the few close friends that helped me out through this, Inka, Sienia, Aime, Tyr, Allegory, all of you for helping me when I wanted to tear my hair out and run away and quick, those friends that were genuinely supportive and helped me out along the way to keep my spirit. MJ and Rose, and everyone at the Wizarding Fair for allowing me to participate. I just.. I'm overjoyed. All of the wonderful bloggers. I mean, I got blogged by Berry! I was speechless, I still can't really believe it. Most of you have been amazing to me, and I greatly appreciate it.

I put a look together really quick with stuff from Wizarding Fair to show you guys, some of my faves, I'm sure now that things slowed down I'll be able to showcase a little more, God willing. I'm wearing my necklace, sue me, I'm proud, my sweat, blood,and tears went into that texture work, and many hours, I'm very happy with it, the skin is new from Essences, available at Wizarding Fair, and it comes with different breast options, so it'll be kid friendly, top from Peqe cus.. well, I love Peqe. Fly Me to the Moon

It's Collabor88's birthday again, it's weird.. thinking that I've been in SL this long. But let's see.. last year.. I didn't even blog. Not at this time, no, but I was getting incredibly close to coming into the blogging scene.. or rather making my mind up finally. Welp. I spent all my lindens in Collab and.. oh.. wait.. no.. no. That hasn't changed. :/. I guess I do get some review copies now, but.. I'd like to say.. blogging is not a hobby to get free crap. I mean, yes, the free stuff designers give us does help a lot. But! For the most part.. we buy. Just like you. If not more, just so we're able to keep up with the current trends and deliver you new inventive outfits to spice up your sl life. Rant over. But.. I'd like to add that.. in just one year, the growth of every single designer out there is just.. spectacular. I mean, Fri.day. I've always LOVED fri.day. Huge fan of her work, but.. you know what? The growth she's made in the past year, moving out of sculpts and layers, it's been huge! These shoes that go along with Slink feet (WARNING! YOU NEED SLINK MEDIUM FEET((POINTY TOE ONES)) IN ORDER TO WEAR THESE AMAZINGLY ADORABLE SHOES.) just come to prove the incredible growth that Darling Monday has had as a designer, and let's not even bring up her furniture shop, we'd be talking for DAYS. Tyr Rozemblum. I ADORE Tyr's designs.. Have for years. I actually told her this. I've been following her since.. well, back in the days of Tyranny designs when she had the skins, and stuff.. found her in a hunt, never let go as a costumer, and now look at her, in my opinion, she does some of the best mesh drape work I've seen, and the texturing, it's just.. simply divine. This dress speaks volumes of just how far Tyr has come as a designer, Love this. And you know what.. this year has also brought a lot of new designers, point in case, Aime Takaaki of MishMish. It seems like just yesterday that Celeste Forwzy came strolling around with the shrubbie, and saying in skype "oh.. MishMish" to the point that I would just double over laughing. Now.. months after that shrubbie, she's in the Arcade, in Collab, and look at these adorable things she's made, and that moon for limited 50? Can you really get any more adorable that that? Toy wise, she's one of my favorite designers, and she's one of the kindest people that I know. Finally, we have the Sash skin, which.. I love. Yes, it not only has my name on it, but it looks so adorable, I just can't with it. I've followed Inka since.. well.. back when I used to frequent the dressing room, and now she's also in the line up for collab, even if it's just as a guest. All of these people.. have such an amazing talent, and just looking back at how the year has passed, and how they've grown, well, I get a little sentimental. That's really all I have to say.. just.. make sure to visit Collab in this special event, their birthday! And get some amazing stuff to add to your Narnias!

Someday You Will Be Loved

As of lately I'm feeling a little nostalgic, I am not really sure why, but.. I guess at times we all do. We feel the void, and loneliness, and blah.. I'm not going to go into it, but I think we've all been there, and I think this picture really captures how I feel at this moment, someday I will be loved. But.. blah. Maybe it's time for me to start stripping down the layers and opening up to others, and letting more of my "skin" show. So.,.. yes, there's more than meets the eye to this picture. On the other hand, there's also a new Insatiable Fashions release. It's a very cutesy underwear set that is just.. so girly and adorable that I had to show it off. Also.. Pekka, they did this for one of the newer events, and I'm just in love with this set. I mean.. I love crosses, not only do they line up with my believes, but they make a powerful fashion statement. So I love it. So now I'm off to try to open myself up once more, some more, and maybe.. just maybe.. someday I'll be loved. Night guys! And.. Happy shopping!

And Arcade is upon us.. an after opening a lot of goodies, crying and agonizing about the things we wanted, and parading around in our new goodies, I decided to blog about some of my favorite things.. keep in mind, oh, there's plenty more, this is just what fit with the theme I had in mind, and the new exile hair for fameshed! And the new tank top from E! that I'm just absolutely in love with. So.. here's a couple of things, both wears, and furniture goodies. If you haven't had the chance to go to the Arcade yet.. you should, I mean, all the goodies are just amazing, the designers really did do a lot of amazing stuff this round, all of it is so.. Ice Cream Girl

I love sweet, and cute things, like.. okay, when Nat came out with her new release for Noodles, I died. For more than one reason really, Harry Potter, and unicorns... together.. I think my world about exploded. So.. Of course I had to get my unicorn on! I mean.. come on! It's adorable, and I'm totally the type of dork that this headband takes. I don't care, I'm walking around with my unicorn headband, and SL will like it. So.. The whole headband inspired this shoot today. Who would have figured? Let's see.. where to begin? First off, I'm still rocking my new awesome skin by Essences, Opera, I love how the eyebrows look on it, and now they have feet and hand appliers, which is the reason that I didn't wear any shoes, to show off the new appliers. The one downside to this skin is really, you need brown or black hair to pull it off, the blonde and red eyebrows look a bit weird for my tastes, but it is definitely worth the darker hair color, I mean.. really, look at it, it's awesome! And now with appliers. I'm swooned. Then you have new hair by Exile, which is also amazing, I am in love with their new HUD color changer now. New Blueberry too! The cute little tank tops are now available for you to purchase at the main store, and really.. can you have enough tank tops? Not only that, the eye for detail that they have, and the fact that you don't have transparent parts on the back showing through when you wear it.. you know.. when people don't mesh out the inside of the shirt so you can see just.. through the shirt... Hate that, btw, but.. I love that in this shirt, I actually angled it so you can see what I'm talking about, that's not photoshoped, that's actually the inside of the shirt, so.. <3 for that. And then you have new shorts from Sassy. A lot of her things are a hit or miss for me, mainly due to my personal style, but the shorts are amazingly rigged, and very well meshed out, just watch out for the weird sizing, I'm normally an M, but I'm an XS in these shorts.. I don't know how. But.. well, Love them! That's about it for today, I think I've rambled enough. On to le credits!

SL Disney Bounding- YOU THREW OFF MY GROOVE!

So, SL Bounding continues, this week's challenge - Kuzco. Boom, baby! Boo-yeah! I so freaking love this movie! So.. I started to struggle with this one some.. how can you make it hot, fun, and free spirited? Difficult challenge indeed. I started with the color palette, the turquoise, gold, and red, and black. Started with the hair because.. it's the easiest thing in there. So this is Exile, love them. Then I decided.. try every dress! The one that had the flair that I was going for is by milk motion, past Dressing Room Fusion item, in red, of course! It just had the long feel to it, the emperor commanding style.. settled for sandals.. well.. somewhat.. by Gos, and the jewelry is a mix of Zaara and Epoque, coordinated in Kuzco's color theme.  I can't wait for next week's challenge !So psyched!

SL Disney Bounding Challenge- Ariel (Kiss the Girl)

I love the Little Mermaid, I remember sitting down as a little girl and crying along to it, even at the happy ending. But then again, I'm a dork. So, Kiss the Girl.. iconic scene from Disney, and how to transverse this into daily wear? I mainly focus on the main important aspects, the bow, and the blue, and the corset. The corset in the movie is actually a dark blue, but, I went for black, and I also found the amazing freebie necklace that fits the bill just so perfectly from Erare, which is a mermaid shop at the Mayfair sim by Thora Charron. Added the dress from vive9, and a corset, which is really my favorite corset ever, by Auxiliary, and made a very Ariel reminiscent look out of it.

Let's Get Lost.

Well I don't know where I'll go now, and I don't really care who follows me here. But I'll burn every bridge that I cross, and find some beautiful place to get lost. Sometimes, really, is funny how music speaks to you. Or your character, for that fact. Hard to explain, but I guess that's the mood of the day, and it's passing over to my blog. Oh noes! At any rate, it kind of fits the picture.. crossing and burning bridges, to get to a beautiful place.

But.. if you are going to cross a bridge, you have to do it in style. Yes! Normally, I'm not one for pastels, I find they wash out the skin, and make you look too.. kiddish, however, it's Easter time, or close to it, so.. in the spirit of Easter, on to show off some pastels, and this little number by limited bazaar is perfect! They have one in blue, and another in purple, I decided to go pinkish because.. I rarely do, I love the small embroidered detail on it.. or structural detail I guess you could call it. I only wish it was slightly mapped out on the actual dress, instead of just drawn, so you could have a lot more dimension on the dress, as of right now.. unless you cam very very close.. it kind of gets lost in the dress. However, still adorable. In more Limited Bazaar news, this cute little jewelry set is actually Alice in Wonderland themed. And.. well, i'm going to admit. I'm a sucker for anything Disney.. so.. of course I had to rush and get it! I loved the aged feel to it, very vintage style, and the cute little picture on the watch. Totally had to have it, and it's limited, so rush and get it guys! I paired it off with a cardigan from TokiD, because.. well, layering.. always helps create the outfit, and give it a you flair, and some Gos boutique shoes.. because.. I'm totally in love with TokiD. The hair is from Exile, and found it really gave a feel of innocence and effortless to the outfit.

Come Break Me Down

I'm lately totally obsessed with 30 Seconds to Mars, and I was watching the music video for The Kill, and I totally got inspired for this shoot! Mad Pea is doing a new hunt in this creepy hotel, and I just had to do something involving this song, so.. yes! I hope you enjoy the dark creepy theme for the pictures!

I do have to admit though.. there's nothing creepy about what I'm wearing in this picture! First of all, new release for Wunderland! And I'm crazy about this jeans! They have camo, studs, and regular jeans.. I stuck with the regular jeans for this just because they looked marvelous. AND they fit with some boots, ladies! So huge plus on that one. Though designers.. I'm still going to beg. Make more jeans to fit inside of boots! That would so be a dream come true. New Year's Resolution for all of you out there, maybe? :P.

Color Me H.O.F is also having a sale for the holidays. So I grabbed this shirt to go along with the look today! Make sure to run over and get to the sale while you can!!

And finally, cute hair.. cute hair.. oh how I love hair! Today I'm wearing Exile! And their new line of hairs with hats! I am  a huge fan of hats and hair accessories, but I'm so picking about prims fitting right, I never get them! That's why when I see hair with it already on.. I'm in heaven! And this style is so carefree, I just had to have it.

So This Is Christmas, and What Have You Done?

The song this time was actually motivated by the desire that the world wakes up. I am an advocate for being thankful for the things you have, and opening your eyes to the misery around you. I often log in to SL and hear "Oh, I'm so depressed RL, I don't have friends, I'm so lonely" Honestly. Stop. It. It sickens me that this is what depresses you, honestly. There are a million and one things to truly be depressed, and the fact that you hide online instead of going out and trying to make friends is not one of them. I know a lot of you will say that depression is a disease, and give me that speech, but here's the thing. I suffered from depression, and it honestly takes a swift kick in the ass to make out of that depression. So this is Christmas, and what have you done? I can honestly say.. I've grown, and at the same time, it doesn't feel like I've done much. It's weird. But let that question resonate in your mind, and watch this video, it's old, but.. It will help you wake up for just a brief moment and be thankful that you have a computer and a cyber world to escape your worries.

So with a sermon over, which I felt was necessary to get out before the year ends, I'm going to dive right into the fashion. First of all, thank you, Eclectic Wingtips, for this fabulous Christmas present. For you all out there, the gift is completely free, the quality is amazing, as it's always expected and received from Eclectic, and the little cocktail dress is a nice addition for the holidays, perfect for all the parties you might have on the way!

My Attic is also up and running, and I have to say, the new up dos by Exile are truly amazing, and right in time for the holidays, with the back of the gift dress from Eclectic, I thought having an up do to show off the work on the back of the dress was just perfect. And a Song Someone Sings, Once Upon a December

I know I used this song already, but the world didn't end, so that's technically a new year, right? Ok, so maybe it isn't, but the song is so beautiful, that it doesn't matter, I will use it again. It really was my inspiration for this post too, once I saw this beautiful gown, all I wanted was to hold it and dance around in an empty ballroom. That's just what I did, too. Don't judge!

So! What has me motivated to another post today? The simply fact that Sassy! has this amazing dress for sale! Twisted Krissmuss is an event where you can buy a gift for someone. Now get this.. Look down, drop your jaw at the sexy amazing number, and now look back up here. The price is only 100L, and the item is transfer! Now.. when you have alts, you know how precious it is to come across an article of clothing that is transfer, or even to give as a gift, it's something that's truly valuable. Now.. you're getting a quality item, and a low price, and transfer. Please don't faint.

All joke aside though, it is an amazing good deal that you'd be crazy to pass on. It's up until January 4th, so make sure to grab it. I'm wearing the gold one, because it made me really feel like a blonde Anastasia. But it comes in plum, white, red and black,  and pink and white. I had to add a picture of the back of this outfit because it was just breath taking the way that it drapes, and the shadow work on it. Honestly, Sassy has been in the grid for a very long time, but it's really one of those designers that is emerging as an extremely good quality designer, and one to watch too. And the price isn't one to break the pocket! Always a plus. Places like Celoe are truly amazing, but it almost does cost an arm and a leg to shop there, it's nice to see designers like Sassy keep their prices low, but their quality high.

Finally, new hair from Exile for Together for Sway. It comes in a naturals pack, and a roots pack I believe, don't really quote me on that, but the hair style is very cute! And it goes perfectly along with this dress. I added some accessories from Donna Flora to make it have more of a sophisticated feel to it, and finished it off with a pair of Celoe pumps. Something to keep in mind, ladies! With a dress like this, you really have to pair it off right to pull it off, because too many accessories, you'd look like you're going to a porn gala. Do it right, and you will look like a diva. I like up do's with revealing outfits, not saying that it's a must, you can also pull it off with long flowy hair, or short and straight, there's no right answer there, just my personal preference. But, accessory wise, less is more, one single ring, small earrings and something small around the neck, just an accent piece. If you do it right, you'll look a million bucks!

I've Got to Remeber This is Just a Game...

I've always loved 30 Seconds to Mars. Their music is so ... calming and at the same time motivating. Odd. But the song "It's a Beautiful Lie" Reminds me of this pixelated world we all live in. It's a Beautiful lie, the perfect denial, we get lost in this world.. but at the end, we have to remember that it's just a game.

Ok, so that's it for my musical note and feeling for the day, I did this shoot centered around this song. I wanted something a little darker to go along with this new awesome outfit from Plastik for Lazy Sunday.. and I found this pose set with the bird from Ploom, and just added it all together to create a darker/melancholic type feel to it.

Oh, Also! I was thinking of adding another section of the blog for cool finds to take pictures at. Picturesque places and what not.. So, make sure to drop a comment and let me know! It can have a very loving/romantic feel to it.. or it can have more of a normal feel to it, or whatever it is you pair it with, like I have today.

Clothes.. There is a new release from Insatiable Fashions, which is the bra that I'm wearing on the first picture. I completely love it! I think also paired with a blazer and showing or something, it would also look adorable. Maybe I'll try it out next post! The bra also comes with a cute little black thong.

Lazy Sunday is out, and I'm digging this outfit they came up with! The Corsair outfit comes with the pants, shirt, and shoes! The shoes are with prim feet, so you will have to fidget around with it to get the colors right, but all in all, love! They also have a cute little dress out, and the same outfit as I'm wearing, except this time with yellow'ish top.

All I Want Is You

Today's my birthday, and first official day back from Orlando. So no more crappy laptop, no more difficult graphics to work with, just pure awesomeness. Yay! Update on my grandmother, she's doing much better, but sadly, she does have a mass in her stomach the size of a soccer ball, and it is malignant, meaning it's a cancer tumor. Now, because of her age, she can't go through chemo, nor can she handle a major surgery to remove it, so the only course of action doctors have is to give her radiology treatment to stop the growth. She's going for a totally of 18 rounds, she's got 14 left, I think. Meanwhile the mass is pressing against her lungs, and heart, making it difficult for her to breath, or move. Her lungs are producing a lot of liquid, and she's getting drained every other day, around 500-1000 mL each time, so she's in home hospice now. However, she's the strongest woman that I've ever met. At 90, she's not complaining of pain, or anything, she has a strong will, and is stubborn as ever. She says her legacy has been to "Make the bad good, and the good better." To this day she keeps fighting and being strong, and defying every single diagnosis and prognosis thrown at her. God is working a miracle, and I ask that if you believe, you pray for her so that she can still keep this attitude and strength. So, that's where I've been for the last two weeks, hence the lack of activity in both SL and the blog, though I did try to keep up with it while she took naps. Not too well.

Any who, now that explanations are out of the way, I'm doing a quick little post before I go out to celebrate birthday time. Woo! So, TDR is out, and I'm loving milk motion boots, and the Label Motion Pose set that they're selling, so for sure worth a check up at the TDR round up for the week. Auxiliary is also there with the cute little corset that I'm wearing, and I'm a huge fan of that set, I think I have the monochromatic tones of it that I got during the black friday set.

Exile, new release! Normally I'm not a huge fan of accessories in the hair, like flowers, or sea shells or what not. I love bows, scarves, and hats and the sort, but not like.. you know, that kind of additives and stuff. But this hair style is soooo sweet, love how it cascades and with the flowers it gives a truly romantic feel that I completely love.

Finally, Decoy is having a sale until 30th, with some /free/ fatpacks! The jeans I'm wearing are totally and completely free, for a fat pack! And I believe there's also a huge sale going on. Everything in the store is 50% down from the original price. Seriously, RUN! Hair, clothes, shoes, amazing quality and free fat packs, and it's only until the 30th! You only have like six days. RUN!

Blurring the Fandoms

Being a huge Harry Potter fan and a huge Doctor Who fan...I felt that it was time to make this post. I absolutely love this TARDIS from HopScotch. It has a million poses in it and is now a constant decoration at my ps studio. I suggest any Whovian who is anyone, really needs to go get this. You Got Me Begging You For Mercy

So, I bet you guys have heard of a little store called Apple May Designs. Before discovering Essences, it was my go to place for skins. Cheap, and adorable, and for the freckles look that I love, just a nice tat layer over it, and voila. However.. when I heard there were hidden goodies in the store for 25L, I had to do a quick trip down there to see what was there.. and I was not disappointed.

What did I find? This amazing little skin, and only 25L! Yeah, it's adorable, and it comes in all shades, from pale, to goth, to tanned, and dark. Gotta love it. And two make up styles for each tint of the skin. Apple May has me begging for mercy now!

I also picked up this little get up because.. well, have you seen it? Completely adorable, and I don't even like maxi skirts. Also, if you haven't gone... Exile has new hair styles, and they got me broke D:. Still, totally worth it, some adorable wavy styles, which are worth a double take, and finally, got some accessories this time around by Maxi Gossamer that made my day, and for 199L, it doesn't even break the bank like some of the accessories stores leave you, and I think it's the perfect pairing for this outfit and the make up of this adorable skin.

Oh, how I love Halloween, it'll make me recite the Nightmare Before Christmas over and over again. Nothing like the love story of Sally and Jack..  So, I noticed Halloween is upon us, and I have yet to do a single post about this amazing time of the year, so I'm going to start with an amazing gift from *G Field* Which I hope you will enjoy, because I very much did so. The style is very similar to a dress I blogged in the past, but.. this one is halloween themed, and it comes with the tights, and the little bat bow that I'm wearing. And we close out the weekend with another dear friend of mine, Grace. Too bad, so sad, the weekend ends, and we all go back to work.

The Secret Store. Shhh.

Ok, so one of my all time favorite stores in sl for quite a while has been The Secret Store. Maylee Oh is extremely talented, specially now that her items have.. Oh, God, dare I say it? Mesh. Yes, I'm a total mesh whore and I'm not afraid to say it. I believe mesh is the best thing to happen in sl in all of the six years or so that I've been in it.

Anyways, if you haven't checked out The Secret Store, you have to! There's a new release out now, a small babydoll that is extremely cute and totally vintage. They have also the oversized sweater that I blogged about earlier still for 75L, so if you haven't grabbed it. GO! Go before she realizes she left it out and takes it down. There's also a new mini that came out a while ago.. and the vintage slip dress.. To die for! So here are a couple looks that I pieced together with her work.
