Monday Meme- Who does your AV look like in RL?

So this meme actually started in plurk, and then it made its way into Berry's weekly meme, and well, I kind of had to do it, because.. I feel like it's been forever since I've blogged between being sick all the freaking time and work. So.. I made a quick nude picture.. that you're only seeing the top cuz :> Enough sexy for a bit, right? Right. So.. yeah, there it is. All cute! 

When I made the shape for this av, my inspiration was actually Coco Rocha I seriously love that girl! In beauty, she's flawless, I adore the fact that she has dark hair and light eyebrows, and them eyes! Urgh, she's just flawless, and the features she has are gorgeous, and personailty wise.. she really is something, she's not afraid to be herself weird, funny, awkward, and she is not afraid to have a personality behind her picture. Out of all the models out there, she's got to be my favorite one, so of course there's certain elements of hers that I transfered into my avatar. For starters, the eyes, and the shape for the most part remains always the same. I did add freckles though, because.. well, I have a love affair with freckles. 

So.. yup, that's my inspiration for my avatar.. as far as who that website says I look like.. I'm afraid, last picture I tried with said that I looked like Al Gore, George W Bush, and freaking John McCain. Scary. And... I had a reason to be afraid... Denzel Washington? Really? Like.. are.you.serious? :/ Looks like I had a reason to be scared. Make sure to.. have your laughs using that generator, it's just ridiculous. 

Release wise.. there's not much.. the nails are cute, I rarely blog nails because the detail gets lost, but.. A:S:S (yup, I giggle at the name too) Has some amazing black nails that also work well for guy av's.. if you're into nail art. Amala has this cute little set (jewelry) That's just.. simple but amazing, the detail job on it and the textures are flawless, love it. And.. that's it? Yup! Have a good week guys!

So Collab just opened, and this round left me.. well.. in shock! First off.. league is in there.. like.. can we all squeal, even if it's just a little bit? I didn't expect that one, huge shocker for me, and I couldn't be happier! That is just too awesome. They have this amazing little sweater dress with a color changing HUD belt thing that is jsut to die for.. like.. a fall must have, and Milk Motion? This over the top cape with the little hat/beanie/whatever the heck you want to call it. Yeah. Adore. But what really shocked me was that Belleza was there. Now, now.. don't be hating on me, but.. well.. how to put this and not make it sound bad because I'm half asleep? This round actually had a lot of new designers in it, that I really didn't expect, but with that they took away some of my favorite ones, and left some that I'm still scratching my head as to the reason why they're there, (Then again, personal taste has a lot to do with it I suppose) But.. all  of that aside, I was just rather shocked to see Belleza there, and pleasantly so when I saw this cute little skin there for only  188L.

Now, I'm THE pickiest person when it comes to skins, Birdy? I find it lacks definition in the skin, and sometimes it's got a weird shade to it, I don't even know how to explain it. Glam Affair? Too soft for my taste, and I find that a lot of her skins look the same, even though she's one of my favorite skin makers. Sue me, I have never been a huge Pink Fuel fan. And Skinnery? Nope. The Store? I actually don't know what people find so fascinating about this skin, and Lelutka? Love the hairs, their skins look weird to me around the bewbies. So.. yeah... Tell me a store, I can point out the flaws in their skins, there are few skins that have been a total hit with me, some are from Essences, no doubt, some from Glam Affair, and some from League. But... this?

I tried it on because SL kept eating my money, and I drooled a little, Shyla, you have outdone yourself with this skin, simple, soft and adorable. My one complain? Your HUD for the hands. I got a little frustrated at having to try to find which hand applier fit to it, but other than that, this is flawless. Love.

Cold Water- In Memory of Squinternet Larnia

It's funny how sometimes a single event, unexpectedly, changes everything in our lives. For a second. For an hour. For a day. For a lifetime. 

I was sitting in the platform, working, with Inka, and getting frustrated about such a worthless thing that had such an easy solution, when suddenly she tells me that Donna Flora passed. There was silence. I knew about Squinternet's struggles with cancer. I believe we all did in a way or another, but hearing that she passed... It was unexpected. So quick, so soon. There was silence. I had no words, nothing. Fear set in, and suddenly, everything was meaningless. As I sat in the doctor's office today, I thought long and hard about her, about her fight, and her journey, and it weighed heavy on me, perhaps heavier than a lot of people. Another reminder in my life that we lose focus of what is important, what really is worth fighting for. Maya struggles are so tiny when I see the road ahead, the road that lies in front of us all, regardless of being ill or not. It saddened me to think that last time our community lost a member, I bowed to make a change. However.. how many of us has kept that promise? I have failed. I feel defeated. 

Squinternet Larnia will surely be missed. She was an amazing designer, and had a fight that many of us will never understand, and I admire her strength. I hope that I'm able to have that same strength, because.. well.. I'm going to need it, and if every one of us could have just one ounce of her strength and courage.. well.. I wonder how far we would all be in life. 

I do think that I need another vow, and I do ask all of you that are close to me to help me keep this one. I vow to fight just like she did. To have the drive to live that she did, and that if I go, no one will ever say that I gave up. Let us all do this, fight for life, in her memory, and in her honor. 

Today is a very sad day for us all in SL, but for me, Squinternet's strength and generosity will live for a long time. Not only in my heart, but in my inventory with her beautiful and amazing creations. Donna Flora will be missed, and so will the amazing creature behind one of my favorite jewelry stores. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
