I Used to be a Fashionista Like You...

Another Monday is upon us, and another meme by Berry. Now.. personally, I like those that force us to be creative, and this week did just that.. welp. We had to make a meme, into a meme, for a meme post.. if that even makes sense? Memeception, basically. I thought for a while, and just.. poses make it difficult, and face in Sl, because.. let's face it, the little facial expression thing for SL basic shape sucks, and I'm not rich so I can't and won't buy a mesh head. I'd buy a sim before I do that. But anyways! I started to talk to people, and then I felt sad face, I was like.. if only I were a true fashionista like Berry, this wouldn't be an issue. Welp. Why not arrow to the knee meme? Score. And it's early enough that I can do this and be the original one that came up with it. I'm going to glare at someone if they did this too! But anways, there it is, my meme!

I am so in love with this Collab round guys! Fall! Fall stuff, I so so so love it. Secre store scallop sweater is to die for, I actually fat packed this and I rarely fat pack, and this cute little leather skirt from Tres Blah, just.. how adorbs is it?! I love it. I thought together they actually made a perfect ensamble, because truth be told, I didn't care much for the top that Tres Blah made this round.. I know.. shocker, it's one of the first things that she made that I didn't completely love. I paired off the look with shoes from Fri.day, just because.. the whole new shoe like Darling Monday is doing is just.. well.. darling, and I adore the fact that I can do the mesh feet with it and never have to take them off. And hair from Truth. Guys.. he's doing the whole pack of normals now, it's a little on the steep side, but.. I think more designers should get on this band wagon! I love having options for hair color and not having to buy in the future and rebuild my hair folder. Best.Idea.Ever.

My Favorite Places

So just like every Monday.. Berry posted her challenge up, and today it's about your favorite places. And I sat for a while. I mean.. my list is pretty boring. I either shop, or stay in a platform forever. So.. I doubted pictures of a white box would have been very interesting, besides, it's not neat AT ALL, so.. that was out of the question. But.. then I thought.. when I'm not working, I actually do stuff... other than shopping.. I roleplay! And I mean, right now there's very few places that I enjoy, all with the drama and lame people, just.. no.. You know? Like.. not even going to be going into it because I don't like to be negative, but.. whatever. There's one place in the grid however, that always has me going back to it, and that's Mischief Managed. I've talked about it a lot of times, but.. it's picturesque, and it has awesome RP stuff going on, so.. of course I would love it. Further more, there's also a new sim around the grid for Game of Thrones RP that an old friend of mine that I met in Mischief Managed brought me too, and I've been having a lot of fun there too! So.. I guess my two favorite places in the grind are.. Mischief Managed, and Crownlands! 

I also wanted to take a couple moments right now to speak about a couple new releases. One.. Umm.. Can we please talk about the new uniforms that Damien Fate released for his Fateplay line? It has kid mesh sizes. You know.. they fit child av's, without toddleedoo, and not only that.. they're actually well made, and mesh. I think the whole Hogwarts community in SL wept in joy when this was released. 

Now.. shifting. ARCADE! Arcade is upon us, and I've been lucky enough to get a couple previews, and some more that i'll share in a blog post later this week. But.. well, if you're like me, you're awaiting for the Arcade to open up while jumping up and down your chair. No, really, is okay, this release is sooo exciting. For once.. the cute adorable chipmunks of MishMish.. I mean.. words can't even describe how adorable they are! And then you have the release of Lark. Lark is new this round in the Arcade, and I couldn't be happier to see them in this line up! Like.. It's uber exciting because Sienia is an amazing talented designer that works extremely hard and her creativity is just.. extraordinary. I think the release she made for the Arcade just shows us a glimpse of not only her talent, but that amazing creativity that she possesses that sets her apart from every designer out there. Her books and bookcase are really cleverly done, and the texturing is some of the best that I've seen in the gird in those books, and I'm not even exaggerating. I love these. So.. make sure to keep an out for her, and visit her store for other amazing stuff! Meanwhile, sit with me and glare at your pc, until it's time for you to get into the Arcade!

The Girl Who Lived

So... if you've been reading my blog for a while, can tell a couple things about me. One, I'm a total dork. Two, I'm a Potterhead, three, I love Disney. Umm... that sounds about right. So.. today my Potterness comes out yet again,  even though the Arcade is over and done, sadly, I still couldn't help but to dust out this pose by Hopscotch again to showcase one of Essences new skins, The Girl Who Lived. Ummm... YES PLEASE! Of course I had to blog this skin, I mean.. I'm one of the biggest Harry Potter fans ever, well.. Slytherin fan despite my fear of snakes, but.. CLOSE ENOUGH. The skin actually comes with this lightning scar, and it is the cutest face ever, the nose of this skin makes me want to wear this skin forever and ever, and ever. It's a little paler than what I go for normally, but it's still just.. the most adorable thing ever. Best yet! It's a gatcha for the Chapter 4 event! And it comes with glasses and all. There's a lot more in that gatcha, but.. by far this one caught my attention, I mean.. Potter, need I say more? I tried to come up with an outfit that would be.. female Potter, I guess.. but I ended up looking more like Hermione. Oh well. There's also new stuff by Truth, which is amazing! So... yeah, I think that's about it for me people, enjoy and happy shopping!

American Woman

So.. I just was reminded that Fourth of July was this week. Wops. Don't hate. I'm not even American and I've been in the hospital for a week, I'm excused for not even knowing what date is today. But.. Flux event is picking up again, guys! And I'm sooooo excited to be picked as a blogger for this event that was so big in the past. For this set, the theme is Americana, and I'm in awe at some of the stores and what htey're sending out, like this bikini, and the headphones with the American flag, too adorable, and the spoon set from Lark that I'll blog later, really.. really amazing stuff the creators have been able to come up with in such a short amount of time, so I decided to do an homage to the Fourth of July using some of these items! Also... there's this new store that opened up in the grid, they make skins, and.. I do love the face, I'm absolutely in love with the innocent face, but the body has absolutely no dimension to it, and it's milk white, so don't ever wear white with this skin. Over all, it makes for a good kid skin, were it not for the cleavage on it, I was kind of disappointed to be honest, but for 600L, it's well worth it! Happy Shopping guys!

It's Time

It's time to begin blogging again! I know I had a bit of a break there, couldn't really help it, week long stay at the hospital will really limit how much you can post :s. But, I'm back, and finally finished the picture that I had in mind before I had to go into the ER. See, I had this vision with this sweat shirt, and yes, I know I'm late in the bandwagon, but I missed the memo that Mon Tissu came out with new stuff, and I kept seeing this sweater everwhere, and I wanted it! So.. I finally investigated. Aka, I typed "Oui, sweater, secondlife into google in hopes that a blogger would be as silly as me as to make that go into her post. Good news for me, I'm not the only dorky blogger out there I guess, and I found it. I haven't taken it off since I found it, from wearing it along with my underwear, to with jeans, to just random naked with a sweater, I've kept it on. Then my friend from Olive, Rose, made that lovely purse for her store, and I was like.. OMG YES! And I added it, and then I added a couple accessories from Lark.. Like the headband. Get used to it guys, I'm the Blair Waldorf of SL. Headbands are my thing. Then... socks, I needed socks, if you have socks, then you need boots and shorts. I Am A Broken Doll, And You Are The Puppeteer

Meep. I've never done a nude picture.. and to be honest, they're soooo hard! It took me forever and ever to get it all done right, and still I find places where it could have been better, but still, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, fairly classy, high drama, just what I wanted. I really wanted to showcase this essences skin, and the make up layers in a classy non boring way, because.. amazing skins are so hard to find, and I love this one, I honestly do. The Opera skin has been the first one in such a long time that I rushed in to buy just when it came out. Now, I have to say, the one thing I didn't really like about it was the fact that.. it had no freckles. FRECKLES! So for a long time, I just wore my own. But.. lo' and behold, in Cosmetics fair.. FRECKLES AND MOLES. By Essences. I cried. I did almost cry tears of happiness. And then becoming a blogger for them yesterday.. I got them, and I can't thank Inka enough for this.. and yes, I'm still fan girling over being chosen as a blogger for them, but.. this pack is amazing. And lipstic, and tanning lotion, and eyeliner.. specially for essences skins. YES. I mean, one of the battles I have with make ups in sl is that sometimes it doesn't go right with your shape, which turns out to be a pain and a headache for everyone involved, so... when the skin maker has their own make up layers that you can use to play around and make the skin your own, I adore it. I mean.. at one point or another we start looking alike. Similar hair, same skin.. same eye maker.. but then we can add some touches that.. they just bring the avatar alive, and add a new flair to them. So to Inka, thanks for this! These are amazing. And you can get them too, don't forget! At the Cosmetics Fair! Go out and get all the goodies while it lasts guys!

It's a wonderful day, guys! And I still am messing around trying to get better at photoshop, today, I wanted to do something.. from the back and sexy, mainly because of this amazing dress by R3volt. Except I used it as a shirt. But.. Oh well, it looks amazing. It reminds me of like being bound, but at the same time, feeling some sort of release.. I don't know, I'm weird. Hush. At any rate, I spent forever getting this picture just right, and I'm pretty proud of it, some couple things I would change still, but.. it's really good, and it fits the feeling that I had today.. would you follow me into the dark? I also wanted to do Berry's memes. I like people getting to know me a bit better, so.. Let's do it, Berry! Bring on your weird questions, I'll lie and make myself look good. Okay.. okay.. kidding, I'll try to be honest!

If you won a million linden dollars, what would be the first thing you buy inworld? I'd just buy all the things. There's no limit. I'd run out of them in like an hour. I'd just go around seriously buying all the things. 

Have you ever bought something in SL and then realized afterwards that you had already owned it from before? FML. I hate when this happens. Or you buy something, and then you get it as a blogger review copy, and you're like.. FML. Seriously? How about sending it an hour ago. WAH! Not really but.. yeah, I've just glared at the computer a couple times when that's happened.

If you could go out on a date with any other avatar, who would it be? James Matfield, but he pretty much crushed my SLife. I'm going to go cry in a corner now.

What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done inworld? Happened recently, I was testing RLV permissions for a collar I was making, and I IM'ed Strawberry Sign to show her something, but.. the collar wouldn't let me talk. And I was like.. WTF?! and then she replied, and three times, and I was like.. HOGOD, where can I hide my face at that moment? worst off, I couldn't figure out how to stop it! Meanwhile the guy next to me probably was laughing, and I'm there like.. hogod, I ruined my slife. Figured it out and IM'ed her, and she just laughed at me. Yeah... smooth.

So.. I'm kinda stuck in one place, unable to do much of anything, not understanding Maya because.. seriously, I think I could learn Chinese faster than I could this thing.. so I thought.. mom's laptop has Photoshop . why the hell am I wasting time? So.. I tried to do another look for the poster contest model search thing. Chandni from Hopscotch was incredibly kind in making a pose for me to use, woman power, I think she's also going to sell it in her store too. So.. I nagged for my tablet to be brought, and my mom had like no say, it was getting installed into her laptop, and I was going to do pretty pictures. Because.. well, fuck all, that's why. So.. I finally got the look that I wanted to make, a Rosie the Riveter look for this new amazing Truth hair that I have, doesn't it look amazing? I also bought the new skin for Essences, Opera, after looking at it for like an hour deciding if I was going to buy it or not. Literally. I have been staring at it for days, hours total, trying to talk me into it, or out of it, finally I just went and bought it, and no shame, I adore the softness in the face for this skin, and the detail of it, lovely.

Exciting news! Big huge exciting news! Truth has new stuff, and even though they're getting rid of truth district, which is a shame... really, like.. where the heck are we supposed to shop from next when he's having a sale?! Well, there's new hair textures, which are to DIE for, and not only that.. are you ready? I mean.. are you really really ready? Because when I read this in Berry's blog, I about seriously pooped my pants guys, and like.. really, I never use poop when blogging, but this is some really serious business!

My Music Is Where I Want You to Touch

First of all, I do have to apologize for the lack of blog entries lately. It's still being one of those things where it's raining like hell, and my glass is overflowing. For as much as I love to blog and share my opinions in SL fashion, my mind is not fully committed at the moment. With the loss of a family member, and two major illnesses in my family, I'm struggling to be able to cope with it all. My time in SL is more devoted to attempting to forget my problems, than focusing on something like this. It's not that I'm going to stop blogging. No, I love it. It's just.. my lapses of when I'm able to concentrate enough to get the words out as I mean them are few. Please forgive me.

With that said. I do wish I had music for a boyfriend. Then things maybe wouldn't be as complicated. Or living in a fairy tale world. Make believe with happy endings. I hope I'm not the only one that feels that way.

I'm going to start talking about the actual fashion with this jacket from even.flow. It's a nice design, however, I wish it would have some contrast to it. The pattern is lovely, yes. But with so much black, the details all get lost. I wouldn't change the color of the jacket, but the belt in a different color would have made me completely fall in love with this piece. However, at the bargain price in Acid Lily, it's quite worth the look at, in my opinion. As far as the pants go, it's a new release from Blueberry. I love Blueberry. I really do. Every week that goes by, and every release, I see so much growth and improvement that I do count her in as one of the top designers to watch out for. What I do love about Blueberry is that the designs are original. With so many stores using templates, I do appreciate those that take the extra time in creating their own visions. One thing that i would like to see in the future, and I know.. I know, it's tough, but I'm a huge fan of actually draping with the textures on the map. What I mean is.. you'll see it a lot of times, from afar, it looks freaking amazing, but then when you focus in, you'll see that.. instead of the map of the clothes moving with the texture, the actual map is flat, and they use the texturing to create a feel of dimension, which ends up making the piece look a little 2D. These pants actually have some relief work into them, like buttons off to the side which was a nice touch, but what I'd really love to see is the pants moving along with the texture to create a full 3D feel to it, more realistic.

Love is a Battlefield

Truer words have never been spoken. If you love something, you have to go for it. Full throttle. Don't stop. Fight. Right now with current going ons in my SL, the song has been resonating through my mind. If you love something, don't let it go. Fight. Love is a battle field. I bet you if the person that I wrote this about reads it, they will totally flip out and IM me about it. Ha.

But.. my battlefield at this moment is fashion. One of my biggest loves, and truest passions. We'll start with Truth. Truth Hawks single handedly might be the biggest reason for me going broke. I mean, I know I don't need new hair, I have plenty old hair. But damn it! Every week he comes up with a new release, and every week I'm drooling. The man can't do any wrong. And braids! Come on guys! Braids. Two of them. Simple, nothing fancy. I've been begging for this for a long time. Thanks! Still upset about the constant loss of linden to your hairs, but.. I'm soooo happy at this new release!

Then we have Acid Lily opening up today, and I'm a huge fan of one of their new designers, Le Fil Casse. It's inspired by French Fashion, and I'll be honest, sometimes I'm missing the French in these designs, but this little dress is sooo cute, and uber french, I fell in love with it instantly.

Moving on! Kyoot is closing down. I almost want to break down and cry because I love the store. But! I do wish her the best in her real life endeavors! Everything in the store is 50L. EVERYTHING. But fatpacks, of course. I think they're 350L? Might have just been once piece, so don't quote me on that. After that, the store will close down and things will only be sold at the marketplace, again, don't quote me on that, still, go and get it at the amazing price while you can! I promise they're good! I managed to get these cute little tights, adorable!

And finally, TDR Fusion is open again, and new collection has begun! LaGyo was there, with a bracelet that matched their Collabor88 release, so I pulled it all together with the outfit for a cute look, and the pose is also from Label Motion in TDR Fusion. Cute poses that are very flirty this time around.

So... today I'm not going to talk about music.. I'm going to get right to it. No moods, no lessons. This is a little shocking. But! I'm in love with this look! So.. let's dig in, shall we?

First of all, I'm a lover of vests. I am, I collect them like crazy, and this is one of the newer designs by {Dollle*}. They have it in different colors  but I liked the black one, mainly for the reason that black is such a versatile color and goes with almost anything, and while shopping, I do look for practicality over eye popping. Not always, I'll admit, sometimes I move away from the usual fashion choices I make... but.. most of the time you'll see me going more towards blacks and whites.

In more newness, another skin from JeSyLiLo has been released. To be honest, still not a big fan. I adore the eyes, don't get me wrong, and the face has a certain softness that is just so easy to work with.. yet.. those eyebrows totally ruined the skin for me. But, I don't like thick eyebrows. If you like thick eyebrows, this new release might be worth a double take.

Paired the whole look off with a small inside shirt by Fri.day, and added some Wunderland jeans, in black, and finished it off with some G*Field boots, bringing back the fur theme. And voila!

Black Hole Sun, Won't You Come?

My inspiration for the day? Washing away the bad, and coming in with the new. I guess that's it a lot of times though.. like.. trying to force myself to keep a positive outlook on things. But I mean.. we live in a world where it's so easy to lose sight of what we have, and the good in our lives, and force ourselves into a kind of exile with depression. Focusing on the bad only forces you deeper into that exile, and having been in a deep depression in the past, I guess I'm forcing myself out by keeping myself motivated. Out with the bad, in with the good.

Melancholic shot, for a melancholic title and theme. Works. Now that I'm done being all preachy or what not, let's get to the good stuff. We have  a couple new things in here. First of all, Acid Lily opened, so look out for goodies throughout the week from them. Cake has entered this weeks' line up with an old classic, this old vest shirt. While it's adorable, I do have to say.. I'm kind of getting sad with all the designers using templates. I mean.. Yes, the design is good, and yes, the texturing by the designer is superb, but.. here's the thing, I've seen this top just.. how many times now? And though I love it, I'm ready to see the next big thing. I guess now that a lot of designers have started selling their templates, a lot of creativity has gone out the window with a lot of designers and the easy way gets taken, and as a result, you have about a million and one of the same shirt.. done by a million and one designers. I'd like to see the creativity and originality come back! What draws clients like myself to a certain store is the fact that there's something about them that stands out for them, a classic signature style to their creations that makes me a loyal costumer. Templates.. eh, I can go to any store in second life and get it. It becomes not about loyalty, but who sales it for less? That's my problem with templates.

With that aside, Blueberry also has a new release this week, the cut out jeans. Not really my style, but personally, love them, it's very creative and ingenious how it was done in the alpha layer to make sure that your skin shows through in the cut out sides, and still looks good. It's an amazing work, and I love it! And finally, a newish release by JeSyLiLo with these UGG Boots. Kept jewerly very simple since the vest and the jeans are such  big statement pieces in the outfit, and voila! A cute look that looks effortless, and stands out.

Fell Down a Hole

One of my favorite Disney movies, even as a child, and even more so once redone by Tim Burton, is Alice in Wonderland. The whimsical feel to it, the craziness and just pure randomness.. I love it all. So for today, I really wanted to do my take on Alice. I wanted to take her out of  the normal blue dress, white apron, and the hair band, and put her in what we might see her with today before taking her back to Wonderland.

The look was mainly inspired by two things, the new release by Truth last night, and the new release by JeSyLiLo today. The hair is lovely as ever, I seriously am a huge Truth Hawks fan now, love the effortless feel of the curls, and the color hues are always awesome and right on. And it has a hat. I love hats. And I love when I don't have to make them into a ridiculously huge size to fit my head that makes me feel like a clown, and fume as I take it off with a pouty face and a "But I really wanted to wear it!!! D:" So.. this is a must have in my inventory for me. As far as the sweater is concerned, it has a lovely hue to it, however, it felt a little flat to me. Cute.. but flat.

I paired it all off with a new release by Wunderland! I wanted it to have a very whimsical feel to the whole outfit to really tie it together, and even though Alice is more of a white and blue, I really thought that these jeans really modernized the look, and made it fun and whimsical, and reminiscent of the movie. Besides, the jeans are truly cute, and even though I consider myself more conservative with my style and fashions, I really did like the pop of the jeans and the little fun theme in the cuffs. Total love with these. And I finished it off with some white... because it needed it, so I used one of my favorite Hucci pumps to tie it all together. And voila, this would be my take on a modern day Alice in Wonderland. Hope you like!

Is That You, Santa?

I'm still listening to Jazz Christmas songs guys! And Louis is stuck in my mind! I swear, since I heard "Zat you, Santa?" This morning, all I've thought about was doing a shoot for the blog near the fire place.. and I have done just that! Ha!

So... Christmas is creeping closer and closer guys! And that can only mean one thing! It's time for more subtle Christmas fashions! Today we have a cute little vest by Wunderland, which is an amazing store that opened just a couple months ago, I found this little gem in Frost, comes to show you.. sometimes going to these fairs and doing hunts can open your eyes to new amazing SL designers that will grow up to hopefully be one of the big names in the future! This vest I've seen done a lot of different ways, it's just one of the latest trends in fashion, but the pattern on this one just captivated me, along with the color, just too adorable.

Then we have the top by Whippet and Bucket, everything in the store is 50L still! Again, I have no clue if they're closing, or if they're having a sale, but run and fill your inventory with their goodies while you can! 50L for their designs is a true bargain. I also wore the 1929 Mon Tissu Jeans to finish off the actual clothing section of it all. Designers out there, hear our plea! We want mesh pants that you can use with boots! Please and thank you! :p

Finally, the boots will be available tomorrow at Acid Lily, they're by Moyaz, and I totally love them, they have a very casual chic look that is very in right now, and they're at a bargain price for a week starting tomorrow, so don't forget to stop by and get yours while you can!

Dream a Little Dream of Me

So... I helped build yesterday, I feel accomplished because I suck at it, and yet I did a pretty ok job at it! So.. all tired and all, I decided to work on the post.. and fell asleep on the computer. Yikes! But.. we made a grungy little fightclub! Yay! So what better way to make it risque than by throwing on some lingerie, and looking sexy there? Yup! My song of inspiration today- Dream a Little Dream of Me. You guessed it. It's so sexy, and for some reason, I'm really into Jazzy Blues songs right now, so you'll just have to deal with it, because they're awesome!

And now for something completely different. Well, not really.. but.. close! I wanted to look smexy, as I said, and there's no better way of doing that then by putting on some lingerie from Blacklace. When I think Lingerie, there's only two names that pop into my mind really, well, foremost, there's Blacklace, and there's TGIS that recently changed names. I love their texture detail, attention to detail, and the fact that it's soooo sexy! So, I got two items for your viewing pleasure today, and I really hope that you do enjoy it! One is a sexy pink number, and the other.. a little more festive, has mistle toe on the bows and everything! But! If you're done with the holidays, it also has a no mistle toe version of the bow so you can impress your beau all year round and look extremely sexy for him!

I kept singing that song in my mind the whole time I was doing this shot, why? Because La Roux is awesome! And it was better than the normal sappy songs that I go for.. sorry, but I'm an emotional person with great fashions sense. Deal with it.

Any who! This is a special sneak peek at one of the many poses from the Zodiac that Hopscotch is doing. The Zodiac this time around will be sagittarius, which I'm uber excited about, since I'm a sagittarius and all. So yay! My birthday is on Saturday. I accept checks and credit cards. Kidding! Love you all, but yeah, you should know by now I have a crazy sense of humor. Anyways, I'm totally in love with these poses, and they come with their own bow, there's two sets for men, and two for women. Adorable as can be.

Also, if you haven't heard, Auxiliary is having a black Friday sale. Le gasp at this, I'm about to pee myself from the excitement. So going and wiping out the whole store, I love all of Tyr's designs, ever since she had the Tyranny Designs shop ages ago. So... For sure an event that I'm not going to miss. I also used one of the new leggings from the new release of TuttiFrutti. I always say that you can't have enough leggings. I live by this philosophy in RL and SL. They'r the perfect way to accessorize your legs, make that slutty short skirt passable, and keep warm. Gift from the heavens. And hey, as a girl... if you forget to shave... perfect way to hide it. So, leggings are always a must, and the new styles and patterns by TuttiFrutti is a great addition to your wardrobe.

I love NYC, and what I love more about NYC is melancholic songs about NYC. And if there's something that we all know is that It's Hard to Live in the City.

Fashion, love, fast pace, taxis, metro, subways, people, and money, that's what NYC city is all about. Sprinkle it with art and mystique and you've got yourself the real NYC that we all love. I've always been drawn to that city for whatever reason, so when I made this outfit, all I could think of was sitting down in Central Park with a Starbucks' Spiced Pumpkin Latte, and a good read, and relax back by the Fountain, or overlooking the lake, with the magnificent city surrounding me.

Sadly, I can't do this in the Real World, but I can recreate it in SL.. somewhat... while I drink my Pumpkin Latte in real life. Seems close enough.

So what goodies do we have his time around?

First off, the Around the World Fair is still going on, and this little Anastacia Dress by Sassy! is just to die for! I want to go back and get it in every color! Totally love it. Then we pair it off with some leggings by Tutti Frutti, which these are from one of the newest releases by them, and we have a killer outfit. Finish it off with the Hunter Boots from Gos.... and yeah, you'll have something just edgy enough, and still classy.
