We'll Be Alright

I know I already posted today but.. I couldn't help it. One of my favorite stores has a new release/VIP gift, and like.. it's so adorable I just had to rush and tell you all about it. So.. this Cross my heart shirt.. like.. totally free. If you're in the group. Now let me tell you a little about it. Auxiliary VIP groups  is one of the best VIP groups in the grid in my opinion. There's constantly free gifts, unlike Mon Tissu, which still highly disappoints me since the joining fee is like 1.2k, and it's insane expensive, and they haven't changed the gifts since I joined! It is 1k to join the group, however, it is totally worth it! There's new gifts every couple months, or every month... just often enough so that I feel I'm getting my worth from joining. And you earn 10% of your purchase towards store credit, so.. yeah. I'm so glad I joined it's not even funny. And I'm feeling good!

So I'll admit, today I was very lazy with the editing. Don't hate me, I wanted something just simple and quick so that I could get this out to you, and work on a major post that I have. Two actually. I havent' done home blogging in a while, but really they take sooo long. But.. well, while I have those two in the works, I really didn't want to stop with the flow of the blog that i have going on currently, I really do want to try to blog daily, minus the days where I'm hospitalized, and another is coming because I have to get surgery. Welp. So that's why I'm trying to blog as often as I can! So.. today I have just a quick LOTD.

First off, I love this dress by E! I really do love her stuff, I found her through fameshed, and absolutely fell in love, but this little number.. well, I couldn't get it off. I wanted to do a very casual safari look for it, since.. well, the team for it was safari! I paired it off with a feathery hair that I love from Taketomi, a new release by Atooly, because... you all know that I do love them headbands, and some League wear and accessories that helped the look all around. Just because you're going hunting, doesn't mean you can't do it in style!

Just for the record, Daisy has got to be one of my least favorite Disney characters. She's so.... urgh, I don't even know how to describe it but like.. she's so naggy,I really really hate her. But.. Nat made the challenge, and I answered, okay?! Can't hate on me for doing it, it was hard, but.. well, there it is, Daisy and crap. I really hard a hard time finding something to go over the dress that was purlple and i liked it. Probably because I hate the color purple too. God, poor Daisy, I'm just bashing on her, and I'm probably getting a lot of Daisy lovers hating me right now but.. you have to admit, she's a biotch! What was Walt thinking!?

Anyways, I dug in the depths of my inventory, and had a back in time experience. I had a good friend in SL that left, and I got sad face. She owned Fishy Strawberry, and.. I miss her. We used to have so much fun together! Our children! Think of the children! But anyways, I'm still very happy thinking that she has moved on to better things in life, but.. I still think abut her every now and then, and well, with that.. I had to use this coat, I paired it off with pink and white shoes from a past Collabor88 season,and the mon tissu white dress, and.. of course, pearls. The skin is still from the same whisper pack.. this time in Anime color! I actually like it, it is pale, but it has a pink subtle tone that I love. So.. that's about it, Disneybound as Daisy. :/

Be Yourself

Today is Bandanna day, which means.. it's time to ditch our pretty little hair, and show our support for those kids that are losing their gorgeous lucks to this horrible disease. It's hard to see them suffering. I am speechless, I can't imagine a mother going through seeing their child suffering like this.. it's unfair. So today, in the last day of this wonderful event we know as Hair Fair, it's time to show the support. I thought long and hard about how I wanted to portray this.. and I thought.. the best way to do it, was to be yourself.

You might be losing your hair like those children, I know I am! It really doesn't matter, and I'm sorry I'm lacking the right words for this, but.. I'm actually in tears writing this. But I guess what I'm saying is.. it doesn't matter what you look like, you're always a queen or a king. Just have to learn to love yourself. What's outside..it doesn't matter, it will go away. All we need is what's inside, the small things that make us happy. So.. regardless what your position is today, or your health, or.. just whatever, just be yourself, and love yourself unconditionally for it. Like.. for myself, I'm a geek, I'm a dork, I like clothes, and half of the time in RL, I do look like this.. sue me, I'm a total geek, and you know what? I love that about me! It's what makes me unique and fun to be around. 

I want to thank all the sponsors for this wonderful event, every designer that was able to put all the petty differences, and all the bs aside for this event, and I want to thank every single shopper too that has made this event possible, because of you all, a kid will be able to smile when they get a new wig, a part of whom they were before this horrible disease hit them. It's beautiful, really, to see the community coming together for such a big and wonderful event, year after year, like Hair Fair. So thank you, here's to many more years of Hair Fair, and more years where SL residents can contribute to the smile of a child that really needs it. And just remember, despite everything, despite whatever you feel is wrong with you.. just know.. Love yourself, and be yourself. There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, it's what makes you beautiful.

On Melancholy Hill

Up in melancholy hill, there's a plastic tree. Okay, you're not here to see my awesome lyric typing singing skill while I sing. But.. there was a challenge somewhere out there, I think, or maybe someone was planning to make a challenge where you were inspired by song lyrics for your post. I was! I did it! I absolutely love the Gorillaz, and this song is sooo cute and so me, So.. yeah, there you go, challenge accepted, even if it wasn't a challenge, and done! Bam. 

So.. today there's two newness on the release of new stuff. One.. Essences released their new line, Whisper. I love it. For a moment I thought that the skin was too pink, and I didn't care for it, but.. now I just absolutely love it. Look at the nose! And the eyes, and just.. so adorable, I absolutely love it. amazing job. Now, I am going to be completely honest, one of the things about Essences is that I don't like a lot of her tones, but I absolutely love the light rose, and the sunkissed. My two favorite ones, I find that she sometimes gets too close to a hue, like.. either too red, or too green, but the execution of the skin, the detale of it, and just the softness of it, I completely love. And the eyebrows. They grow on you. So.. I am wearing the sunkissed version of it, and I'm trying to change things up, still trying to figure out the new look with this skin because.. I absolutely love it. 

Lark also has a new upcoming release. This cute little bathing suit that is just.. completely adorable. The red polka dot made me think Minnie Mouse, and if you don't know by now that I'm a huge fan of three things, Doctor Who, Disney, and Harry Potter.. well.. you need to go back and do some reading! I couldn't help but to put on my Mouse ears, and go around in this cute little piece. My favorite part of this swimsuit has got to be the back. One piece on the front, two piece in the back, and I had to show that off. So.. yeah, there's your Sunday newness for today! I hope you all enjoy!

Disneybounding: Princess Aurora!

Growing up, Sleeping Beauty has always been one of my favorite movies. Though.. I'll be honest, it wasn't for Aurora, it was the pink and blue fairy, AND Maleficent. I know it sounds weird, but I've always been captivated by Maleficent's character. Younger, I was afraid of her. Like.. that scene with Aurora following the green wisp of light along the corridor.. the music, all of it, it was just.. so eerie. I used to cry in that scene every time. Literally, just.. petrified of it. But then I started to grow up, and I started admiring the work that Disney did on her, the fact that Maleficent was just.. evil. Pure evil. I mean.. you go to Disney, when you watch the Fantasmic! show in Disneyworld... they use her almost as the queen of evil.. darker and more sinister than the Evil Queen herself. Which.. let's face it, she wasn't that evil, she was just vain to the point of insanity really. But Maleficent.. just.. everything about her screamed evil. I loved it. And now with the new movie coming out.. like.. I really hope they don't ruin that. I love her as she is. 

Anyways, the challenge is Aurora. And I wanted to do the mix up of the two fairies. You probably remember how they used to battle each other to turn the dress into pink or blue.. ending up in something like this: 

So.. I mused for days on how to do this, I wanted to do a dress, and then mix it like that in photoshop.. But.. that wasn't the challenge. So.. I figured it out. I had to include both colors in it! It wasn't a choice about pink or blue.. it was merging the two of them into one look. Anyways, I grabbed the top from one of the newer stores in grid, well, making a come back really - okkbye, which I absolutely love. I don't really like bright pink, so the fact that it was soft and sweet was perfect for me, added a headband from Lark, since I didn't have the right tiara for her, and just.. used the Snow white at hand to give it a little bit more of modern edge/attitude. And finished it off with the blue theme with jeans from Maitreya! The end result was a more modern and relaxed Aurora look that looks casual enough to pull off, and well.. still eludes to all the stuff from the movie, one of my favorite parts anyways. Enjoy!

Love Donna Flora

So, if you don't know who Donna Flora is.. you've practically been living under a rock. Okay, exaggerating, sorry! But.. Donna Flora is by far one of the biggest, and oldest names in jewelry. She got some devastating news as of recently, and Second Life has come together in order to help her out. She's battling cancer now, and we all wish her the best of luck in her battle. It's always really nice to see SL come together like this though, like.. instead of all the hate, and the annoying battles that happen in SL, it's really nice to see people come together and try to help each other out. To me, that's what SL and the experience of it all is about. Not trying to bring other people down, but trying to help each other up. Not tearing down, but building. There's been a lot more tearing down lately than usual, I mean, I've even felt it, so.. nice change! I guess. But.. I decided to compile a cute look with a couple of items for the Love Donna Flora event. 

Also, the Seraphim social is up and running, and one of my favorite items in this necklace from Lark. I just love it, and the symbolism of it. So.. let me tell you a little bit about it. The Seraphim Social is an event that it's all about reading a book, and then designers make an item based on the book. It's actually a pretty cool concept that Lashae has created, and I loved it, had to get on board any way that I could. Now if only I could stop playing SL long enough to actually read.. it would be better, right!? But this month, for the opening month, the book chosen was The Host. And even though I'm not a HUGE fan of Stphanie Meyer, well.. I have to admit.. the movie wasn't half bad. Wasn't Twilight, but then again, I might not have hated Twilight half as much without freaking Stewart kid.. at any rate, I think I might actually pick up this read! This necklace represents the two souls inside of the body, and like.. any ways, it's really cool, and I love it, and I'm a sucker for things with a lot of meaning behind it, so.. yeah, love, and worth a pick up!
